Do you think you will be able to manage a full fish and chips from the Magpie, and a plate meal cake and coffee at the drift?

Whitby is indeed not friendly to the motor car, but in hover mode the Vcar was able to capture these stunning views of the harbour and the abbey before heading up to the Teeside Transporter Bridge:
bftw
bftw
bftw
bftw
A little bit of traffic on the way to teeside but not too bad and here we are:
bftw
bftw
It took less than two minutes to be swung across the river (the hover facility having broken after the fright at Whitby Abbey)
and now its up to the Tyne Tunnel and on to The Drift Cafe to see who else has made it!! :-D :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Couldn't do that Neil, having had a hearty brekkie after all the grinding, I was still full when I got to Whitby, not to mention the fact that somebody had stolen all the cutlery!! :-D

My goodness you are moving at a cracking pace, havent even had a shave and put on my best bib and tucker yet :-D

Are you going to stop off for a jog through the tyne pedestrian tunnel, or heading straight through the vehicular one which is less impressive and isnt made out of shiny bog bricks?

Well, the A19 wasn't as kind as I thought and so the tunnel crossing was a bit hairy. I sent the Vcar under the tunnel, programmed to take a picture halfway and this is all I got:
bftw
bftw
so after going through the pedestrian choice I picked up the car and now here I am at The Drift Cafe!!!
bftw
bftw
So who is having what for lunch?

I quite fancy the roast

Put your choices up here chaps!! :-D

Looks tempting but I generally have a large chunk of corned beef pie, with marrowfat peas roast tatties and gravy :-D

Have a look at the bric a back....plenty to choose from and generally interesting stuff.

If we tell him Jackie Evancho is playing live at the Cafe right now, I imagine he would fire up the C5 and head straight up to the Drift.

In the meantime surely by now you need to stretch those legs, or have an invigorating dip in the North Sea.

Strictly speaking, one card is turned up on the pack and so would be common to both hands. As they stand I hold 14 whatever is turned up out of the five cards and you have 5 unless the King of Diamonds was on the pack in which case you'd have 6, 1 for his knob by holding a Jack of the same suit as the turned up card!! :-D
