Or can I tempt you to change your Vcar from the C5 to a Stag, if I can supply one in Java Green :-D

Again currently available in Kings Lynn

Well I am here and I have to say disappointed, firstly the Auction is on the wrong side of town and I've been to a Stag party before, and secondly the market my mum loved so much:

looks like this today:
good old streetview!
good old streetview!
so it looks like lunch may be on route to Boston via A17 and A16

Only an hour and a quarter behind schedule so all is not lost! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

It is unlikely that Mike (Michel) will attend. His wife has just had an operation, is back at home, and is on the 'At Risk' level, so Mike is making sure that the family does not increase the risk of contracting the Coronavirus.

I would like to meet up (at an acceptable distance), but the pub in Henley on Thames we were going to meet up at will be closed.

And meet up we will James, but as you say it will have to wait until the actual trip takes place to ensure the pubs are available. However no reason not to have a virtual meet on Thursday at a venue supplied by google streetview. Assuming my Kryptonite batteries last the distance, which they should allowing 250 miles per 100kwh I'd hope to be around Henley late on Thursday!! :-D

What a feeling, and not just an Irene Cara type feeling, it will be more than a feeling when you get to Boston.

I take it you are fully equiped with appropriate ICE for the journey? I presume you had the Division Bell CD on as you passed Ely.

Being a bit of a musical numpty I didn't have Floyd I'm afraid!! I equipped the C5 with a direct link to the PE Jukebox assuming that would be all I'd want on my travels but I forgot to nominate a DJ and I can't manipulate it while driving so I have to rely on others posting up some tracks to keep me going!! This means that I'd already passed Ely when the Division Bell rang out!!
After the chicken sandwich and chocolate milkshake I virtually flew up the A's 17 and 16 to arrive at The Boston Stump:
bftw (borrowed from the web)
bftw (borrowed from the web)
which is St Botolphs Church in Boston
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Botolp ... ch,_Boston

Sadly time was pressing so it was a quick snap then off along the A1121 and up the A15 to flash past Lincoln cathedral in a blur:
bftw
bftw
in order to try and get to the Humber Bridge on time.
Well, thanks to the warp drive in the boot I got there for 3.15 so now only 15 minutes behind schedule :)
bftw
bftw
and what a bridge it is!! I havn't crossed it yet as I'm so impressed with the view.
Soon it will be in my wake as I head out on the A63 to pick up the A1034 and then the A1079 to York where I hope to grab a cuppa!! So far so good :) :)

Well back on schedule thanks to the Vcar and Kryptonite :-D
Had a nice cuppa in cafe opposite the Viking Museum and managed a quick shot of the Minster:

before I head off up the A64 to Filey, hopefully to catch the dusk across Dad's beach!!

Its going well Mick :-D .

Just catching up after doing exactly what I said I had decided not to do on the bargain basement motoring thread spending a frustrating afternoon with the front exhaust pipe of the Micra with the anticipated struggles!

As I had some daylight to spare I thought I'd have a quick look at Peasholm Park:

and drive by my digs for later, on the way to fish and chip supper in Filey:

Only to discover my plan is foiled:

so its a hunt for supper!!

Humnanby is not a kick in the pants off Filey and has appeared in the POTD Red Clocks List, another sufficiently rare spotting to provide a bit of interest when out and about.

We came across it by chance

Ah...you are already past it :-D

I thought for the virtual trip you may have treated yourself to a stay in the Grand!

Bit of Scarborough music needed for your entertainment. I'm sure there is somewhere famous on the front for "band" concerts.....I will delve

Well after the Chippy being closed I had a wander and bought some rolls and a pie in the bakers:
bftw
bftw
and then popped across the road for some ham, cheese, jaffa cakes and a bottle of diet Coke:
bftw
bftw
Then I sat in the park and munched my dinner until it was time to get a picture of Dad's beach:
bftw
bftw
and then back to my digs for a well earned rest:
bftw
bftw
So now I'll watch some TV, maybe check the FCF and see what has been going on and then get some sleep - it's going to be a long day tomorrow!! :wave2:
