Have just looked up "twin plenum" in James Taylor's excellent book Rover SD1: The Full Story.
Vitesse twin-plenum.jpg
So-called Vitesse "twin plenum" – there was only one plenum chamber, but modified for racing purposes to have two throttle butterflies. Under homologation rules, the model had to be backed by production models, so Rover produced 5000 of them, and then another 500.

Road-going versions produced 220bhp, racing ones 300.

Very full details on p.124ff in James's book.

^^^Thanks Chris

More "frequency illusion" just mentioned this the other day on PUXA's thread

Nice find PUXA. A friend of mine has a Renault 4CV which was always under a tarpaulin on his trailer in an apparently awful state. He has spent a good deal of money getting it professionally restored by an outfit in Lincolnshire, and now.....the transformation is fantastic, and over the long term he will probably recover his restoration costs.
..and what turns up at Classiccarauction later this month, a perfect example of the £35,000 spent....estimated sale price £10,000 :-D and its a Renault 750/4CV

I have to say with my "incredibly British stiff upper lip" that the 4CV looks like a cut and shunt between an early Morris Minor with a Ford 95E rear end!!
Not a bad mixture if it gives the rear head room of the Ford with the cuteness of the Morry!! :) I don't remember ever seeing one on the road but then I don't remember wagon wheels being as small as they are now!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

...and that one has a dynamo and an alternator! #-o And a good few other non-original engine bits too.

Your back end is totally unflattering Mick, the Renault 4CV is a curvaceous beauty in comparison.

For the FCF historians, back in 2014, the Nice 2-tone thread kicked off on post one page one with a nice 2-tone Renault 4CV

Here's a real opportunity for someone with some space, I'd love to do it after what we saw earlier today but I just don't have anywhere to put it at the moment!!

mickthemaverick wrote: 18 Mar 2020, 20:50 Aah!! a proper one!! Nice find Neil, now go buy a Capri in the under £10k thread :-D
Doesnt appear to have an electric motor in it :-D Still few heavy batteries in the back may stop it sliding off the road around corners!

Everyone likes a beige land crab. Headturner extraordinaire.

That looks to be a very nice specimen if you like that sort of thing. I would have to paint the rocker cover chocolate brown to set the engine bay off a treat. The standard green just doesn't work for me!! :-D
