I’ve recently purchased a DS7 but ran out of windscreen fluid today. Is there a warning light as I didn’t see it?

Re: DS7
And whilst we are at it, why couldn’t they have a simple gauge on the add blue tank rather than a message saying you have more than 1500km left?

Re: DS7
C5x7 dropped that warning light on the screen wash as well....and the bonnet auto-lift rams.
On the Xantia V6s1 cars they had a low engine coolant sensor installed, all the wires in the loom but forgot to add the connections to the warning lamp on the dash (also installed)

Re: DS7
The X7 does have a washer fluid level sensor (8) for the headlamp washer reservoir on vehicles equipped with Directional Xenons as these obviously use a lot more fluid.Stickyfinger wrote: ↑28 Feb 2020, 08:38 C5x7 dropped that warning light on the screen wash as well....and the bonnet auto-lift rams.

Re: DS7
So it's more important that you lights are nice and bright than being able to see out of the windscreen. Impeccable logic.

Re: DS7
You might be able to fit a level switch (vertical or horizontal float-type, in an appropriate position) and a warning LED, if you are handy.

Re: DS7
It's not that big a deal just weird that they can fit a camera that scans the road in front and adjusts the suspension but can't fit very simple sensors to the washer bottle and adblue tank

Re: DS7
I've often been caught like this on longer journeys where the roads are covered in sleet / mud / grease / and spray from traffic - despite topping up the washer tank in the morning, and getting the warning on later - so have to turn off main headlamps from AUTO, to sidelights, squirt the windscreen, then put the lights back to AUTO so I don't run out. When the headlamp washers activate, they go! 2 Extended wash jets per cycle, so can eat through washer fluid.
