Definitely no snow down here in the Vaucluse ATM, Very pleasant weather indeed. Sun is shining and I hope to be able to cut the grass later on this morning.

Transport difficulties today......but report of this particular reason for delays at the Tyne Tunnel I hadnt heard before..............

Major delays at the Tyne Tunnel due to the ANPR Cameras which open and close the barriers, being unable to read car registration plates due to them being covered by snow.

TYne Tunnel reacted swiftly to the situation by sending this tweet, and sending staff to the Plaza with brushes.

Does this mean I should fit a de-icing system to my number plates before I come up north on my Meander? :-D

No I dont think so Mick, after this I am sure the Tyne Tunnel Management will be better prepared next time and have an army of brusher-off-ers ready to welcome you should it be snowing.

Monday's snow came and went and by the afternoon had gone. Absolutely gorgeous day in Northumberland today blue sky, clean crisp air and a touch of warmth in the sun.....must have stirred something in the labrador, she went for her first plodge in the river in 2020 on her walk this morning :-D

Not recent shots, but you might like them. The night shot was not great (as I was cold, didn't have a tripod, and the camera needed to hold the shutter open longer than I expected.

Its not often that Gibbo's nicely titled thread gets a chance to be revived....

But today could well be a Snow Art day, it is in Northumberland :-D

Yes literally I can declare that the snow is the wrong sort for decent snow art and is already melting fast. Still dont want it to be too bad today the weekly stage from Sainsbury's is due this afternoon with our vittles for the week!

Just off to the Post Office, all the surfaces that have been walked on are just sheet ice, on with the shoe spikes!!

Brr! How come Lanark gets so cold ? We've "only" been down to -6C so far here according to my outdoor weather station and we're not that far from you. Here's our last weeks temperatures...

I had to grit Sara's mums paths yesterday - she hasn't been able to leave her house for a couple of days due to sheet ice around the house and no way to get out to get some grit.

The outdoor sensor on my station is bust, need to get a new one, what have you got, Simon?

Meanwhile, more snow overnight, this morning it is clear, but cold....
