I think that error can be caused if the engine oil level is too high. What is the oil level on the dip stick?

I had the same message on my C5 four years ago. I detailed it here https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... =3&t=55464 - mostly on the first page and some more relevant posts on the third page.

You don't say what engine you have. Mine is the 163bhp 2.0Hdi.

He has a petrol EP6FDT M.

The level read will only be correct if the vehicle is on level ground and the engine has been off for more than 30 minutes.

Hi
The car was switched off all the night and the car is parked on a level ground.
However i went today to the service center and they told me that the sensor needs calibration and initialization, then asked me to check today and revert back to them if it appears again
Thanks

Dear friends,

I got this message two weeks ago on my Citroen C5 2.0 HDI Exc. car. No DTC detected with FAP or Lexia. I cut the power from battery for 6 hours and after three start stop of the car it was ok.

Because I cut the electric U1218 (one of the parameters present in a datastream sent by the BSI is invalid) came on i think. At the beginnig i cleared the DTC by FAP but as soon as ignition on and off it appared again. I look some descriptions and found that at least 5 minutes of driving is necessary. After that all went ok and DTC gone away.

But as doing this procedure i saw that FAP life left value increased to 240.000 km. Before it was 223.500 km and other parameter "Deposits in FAP" value set to zero. Before it was 6 g.

I wish all of you non problem cars.
