Ok, so this is a MK II:

C3 II 5 DOOR SALOON 1.6 i 16v 110 (TU5JP4) 4-SPEED AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

In that case the comms unit was part: 6242VC, superseded by 98069802XT

One here new - just keep your own Audio remote stalk and pop it in. They will undertake any coding for you.

Cheers mate, I'll keep that in mind for next week and see what the auto electrician has to say about it. Do you have any ideas what they blue plug I pictured might be for? I checked that label and there wasn't any numbers or anything on it

The blue plug is for the steering angle sensor, it is an integral part of the com2000 unit but is only fitted on models with ESP. Im guessing you dont have ESP?
Cant think just now about the black plug but im pretty sure its not from the com2000.

Cheers wheeler, no I'm pretty sure she hasn't got that, I'm guessing there would be a button on the dash for it if it was on there. Cheers for all the help anyways. If I were to try and take it all off to check it had the correct part fitted, is it easier enough to do?

@ Wheeler: No, no ESP on this vehicle.

@Shockwaves: The steering wheel angle sensor where fitted is incorporated into the steering wheel module and tells the ESP ECU which angle the steering wheel is at and how quickly it is being turned. This helps when calculating the driver's desired direction of travel, against where the car is actually going to end up if not corrected. So it helps with determining the type of stability programme to employ according to driving conditions. So there is not button on the dash - it would plug into the sensor where fitted.

It's relatively ok to do, moreso without you having the steering wheel angle sensor to calibrate. It will involve unplugging the steering wheel, lower cowling, airbag unit and wires, etc., but I can put a guide up nearer the time if you are going to go and replace it.

Cheers for that mate. I do have the old stalk unit that they removed, and the front screen wash definitely worked on that one, is it possible to change just the individual wiper stalk onto the old one, as it looks like you should just be able to unclip it all and exchange them? If it is possible, is there a guide to it at all, or has anyone any experience of doing it before?

No the wiper and indicator stalks are combined and part of the module, you just remove and insert the Audio stalk unit / and Cruise stall unit where installed.
