Post by Peggy207 »

Hello all, not sure if this is normal but had my boot open earlier but when switching on engine I had the following errors come up

Is this normal or is it something more serious many thanks. Sorry

Ok, can you post up your VIN please? It's displayed in the lower outside passenger side of the windscreen and begins VF.

This fault relates to the speed sensitive spoiler fitted to some vehicles ('Wing'), which raises or lowers the spoiler depending on the speed. I'll have a better idea once I have the VIN so I can determine the options fitted to your vehicle. But looking at the other fault logs, it would seem you have an electrical problem there as the boot is being recorded as open too, as well as the front door.

To my knowledge though, the speed sensitive spoiler was never fitted to a 207.

Have you had the car long and have any parts been replaced from another peugeot, especially any electronic parts like a radio, engine fuse box, BSI or any other ECU etc? If so, it is possible that there are some features from the donor vehicle that are still programmed into a unit like the BSI that are not applicable to your vehicle and hence why you are getting these messages. Any info like this will help as we need to find the root cause not the just the symptoms.

The only thing I put on the car is a spoiler, it was a bolt on so I can't see it being an issue

Confirmed - this is a 2010 207 3 DOOR SALOON 1.6 VTi 16v 120 (EP6C) 4-SPEED AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

The only spoilers fitted were shown below as items 11 or 12 - but none of these were fitted to this secific vehicle and in either case none were motorised / speed sensitive.

So I think you will have to get it diagnosed by somebody with Diagbox and let us have the fault codes as either you have an electrical issue, or something may have been mis-configured in the BSI at some point.
