Yup, & I'm sure I've posted about it. Quite pleased with it, better than the one it replaced, but the handle is a bit of a pain because the size of the jack means nearly the whole thing is under the car. One of those rubber pads that would mean you could use it under the sill would transform it - but for the combined cost, you could probably get a better jack.

After mulling it over a bit, I bought one of the tyre inflators at Lidl, even though I'd forgotten to get the £10 voucher I mentioned above.

Rechargeable battery powered, so you don't necessarily need a car and cigarette lighter nearby if you're using it on something else, might be useful once in a while, I thought.

Opened the box a few days later, the short hose and adaptors were missing. Went back today, only two left in the store. Do you mind if we check? Missing on those two as well. Refund.

Went to another store, none on the shelf, but a sign next to the empty space to say ask staff if you want this item. Got someone to check in the store out the side, only one, marked as refunded.

I think they might have a few more of those returned soon ...

Do you trust a Lidl (made dirt cheep in China) Jack that cost £25 with your life or your car ?

I have 3.5 ton Sealey jack for repairs etc not foing to get under a car up on a jack anyway I wanted a small trolley jack for the boot in case of a puncture etc. I hate scissor jacks in fact when I got the 207 there was a Mercedes branded jack in the boot it was useless so I had to buy a Peugeot scissor jack.

I bought a couple of those 25 pound trolley jacks from Trago Mills about 30 years ago, I use them mostly to jack the car up when its on the ramp, one of them has just failed, not completely but it goes down slowly when left, very nearly tipped my sons 406 coupe of the ramp during the night as I had both sides jacked up! Not a bad life though I thought, the other one is still fine.

I also have a Bradbury 25 cwt jack I bought in about 1965, cost me 25 pounds, well over a weeks wages then, still works fine, don't very often use it now but it has a strong handle about 4' long, that gets used a lot for sliding over a socket ratchet or bar to undo obstinate nuts.

Look at Machine Mart and Toolstation, may be better priced.

There is quite a range here. Make a shortlist and then compare the pictures closely, often you will find the same jack at several different prices.https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... 2a8481f509

Sadly neither companies operate here and I would think the postage would be quite high.

Shame. Can you wangle a Halfords discount card? Makes a huge difference.
