Few moths ago you have checked the type of my current screen. Can you pls tell me is that 12 pin or 6 pin?
I think i have to buy a newer one. One guy mentioned that he had the same screen issue during usb music ... 😑

Nice work!

I'm doing some new speaker replacement my self and found this thread. Do you have a wiring diagram for the speaker wires? They seems to change colour between the door connector and the head unit. The factory cables is kinda tiny....

Hi, neszim81. I have also replaced RD4 with RD45 and also ordered new display from AliExpress. I have DiagBox and PP2000 from AliExpress as well.

I have some questions:
What did you do with the old external bluetooth module for RD4? (Now I find both external bluetooth for RD4 and the internal bluetooth for RD45, but I'm not able to pair or use any of them).
Did you manage to connect the microphone on RD45? To what pins?

If you had the factory nomad (hands free unit) installed, you need to disable it in PP2000 / Diagbox or it will conflict. Do this when configuring the RD45 unit. And if you haven't CIN coded or configured the RD45 correctly then it won't work either.

As for the microphone question - it's all in this thread...

Although you probably need to configure (in the BSI) the nomad module itself to be disabled (maybe best to unplug it), you need to leave it configured to present somewhere (perhaps in the display ECU) for the RD45 bluetooth to work. Sorry about vagueness, I am working from memory of installing an RD45 in a car that did not have a nomad.

I don't think that there is any way for update the software on the EMF-C, you need to find one from a later car with a compatible software version.

The software version may be able to be updated, but only from PSA servers via a dealer.

The BSI doesn’t need configuring, but the ECU on the EMF-C does need to be configured with the correct options or it will not display Bluetooth functions. You need to do this with Diagbox or Lexia software once you have a suitable EMF-C display.

Can you post your VIN and attach a couple of screenshots of the screen so I can see which options you have selected and then I can compare these to make sure you have the correct options selected.
