I'll not be near a place where I can get a Metro and I'd prefer to spend the extra fiver than buy and be seen with a Daily Mail!

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Next Thursday (26/09) Lidl are doing car bits. I have a set of the axle stands, and they are very useful;

I had a wander in to our new one today and noticed they had combination ratcheting ring spanners for six quid apiece.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Rusted Nuts have been consuming my stock of dremel type consumables lately, so I hope I dont miss the periodic offers of accessory bundles for them at Lidl and Aldi. I am well tooled up with my 230mm Grinder and Accessory disks, but I also look out for the 115mm Discs for the smaller grinder when they come up.
If anyone spots them on offer I would be grateful for a gentle nudge with a post on this thread
Regards Neil

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
That eBay kit looks good for the money.
I have one bought from Lidl a couple of years ago, very similar but in a very convenient case that makes selecting the right bit very easy.
It was a couple of quid more though.
I mentioned to my son that they have pressure cookers for twenty quid, he had asked if I still had one. Wife bought a huge Prestige one when we were married and used it lots. Haven't seen it in years so anyone's guess what happened to that.
He did say he had meant to call in as they have compressors on special. They sound a bit too cheap at £60 but what do I know.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Never had a barney with any of my kids.
I never used it and wife didn't much in recent years, it was mainly for making meals for the kids when they were babies, she would spend all day Sunday cooking and baking, many infant meals that she would freeze - she wouldn't buy baby food, she wanted to know what was in them.
My mother once tried making rice pudding in one. That was quite spectacular and it took ages to scrape it all off the kitchen ceiling.
Son wants one for risotto as it takes forever otherwise.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Had a similar incident with a boil in the tin treacle pudding, put it on the gas, answered the front door to a neighbour whose car wouldn't start and by the time I got back to the kitchen it was full of smoke, there was treacle and polystyrene dripping off the ceiling and the cooker grid was bent hard against the cooker, no sign of the tin!! That made for a pleasant weekend repairing it all!!

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Years since I have seen one of those. I wonder if they still make them.
Didn't you have to make a couple of punctures in the tin to relieve the pressure though?
