Nemo van seat belt light randomly coming on

Post by blake7 »

The van only seems to have one sensor on the drivers side as far as I can tell, there don't appear to be any wires under the passenger seat.

There is what I assume is a pressure type sensor on the drivers side, it is a two wire switch that I linked out but it is still the same.

Can anyone offer any help or suggestions as to what the issue might be?

I would assume a simple switch in the seat belt latch, as the system need to 'know' if the belt is latched or not.

I was looking at this pic from evilbay and this is the plug I tested. Looking at it, although there is only one plug I'm guessing there must be an inline switch in the seat belt stalk that is made from the buckle. A switch as you said.
