Hi,
I have got a slight problem with my reverse camera on 2013 Ds5. Sometimes when I put the car in reverse, the camera is having like a split image where bottom of the car show on top half of the screen, and top part shows on the bottom half of the screen. Few times the camera did not work at all, I just had an image of the car displayed on the screen when reversing. Does anyone knows how to access the camera cables so I can check them over? Many thanks.

Re: Ds5 reversing camera problem
Hi and welcome.
It’s quite possible there is water damage or interference. The camera is independently connected to a short cable that plugs into the main harness as you can see here/

Re: Ds5 reversing camera problem
Thank you for the quick reply. What would be the best way to access the main harness? There are 2 covers in the boot of the car on each side and there are cables being hidden inside. I know some of the connections are for the lights, but I am not sure if any of them are for the camera. Many thanks for all the help.

Pop your VIN up here and I’ll see if there is anything else I have on the wiring.

Re: Ds5 reversing camera problem
Hi, I have same issue on my DS5 2011. When in reverse, sometimes image is split on camera, or with interference (image shaking). I noticed this mostly occurs during hot days (lets say when weather is above 20C, spring and summer period). During fall and winter, camera is working fine most of the time. What could cause such issue? Is it worth inspecting connectors (where to access cables) or this can not be repaired and camera replacement is the only solution? It is not a big issue for me taking in consideration a new camera is about 250EUr in my country, definitely not worth replacing, but if some simple DIY work could fix it would be good.
My VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

See my reply here in the other thread. Yours is a 2012 model, so the same applies...

Re: Ds5 reversing camera problem
Hi pal,
Yes, I already read that thread as well, anyhow my question was more focused onto possibility to inspect anything on existing camera rather than just replacing it with new one (which is quite expensive, not worth that money...). Or, when camera is malfunctioning like mine, nothing more is to be done but to replace it...

Re: Ds5 reversing camera problem
There are no further details about this - it is hard to say exactly what has changed in the new camera module - they may well have changed the complete camera, lens, photosensitive sensor, electronics - or just modified a single component. PSA do not release exact details of any changes.
