See this thread John - if it's not any of those, then identify the bush on the diagrams I posted over there and advise...

21 is a bolt and 26 are square washer thingies John? SS8039 isn't a PSA part either, so a bit out in the ablutions John!

lol thanks Marc
I couldn't see to well on the pic.

I bought these already,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401189936582 ... i&mail=sys

will get around to trying them soon. \just wondered more about getting the arm off the car really. looks like the bolts that go through the bushes wont come out enough without dropping the strut tops..

may have another look later or over the weekend

Ok, good luck - I left it to my local to do the lower bushes - he had no issues.

thanks Marc
just had another look, looks tough!

have you got a official how-to on removing the strut mount? dont worry if its buried and a load of hassle. The bushes look to be part of the strut mount - not the upper arm!

is the diagram linked before able to be a bit bigger? I cant seem to zoom on it, click it etc?

I only have the paperwork for pug unfortunately
:( :)

the bushes I bought do look the right ones, which is good

On any of the pictures / diagrams within my specific posts, they will zoom if you click on them John. So just to be clear, which part are you replacing?

Right, it will take me a while as the previous 'how to' guides I've done are typically all for different engines and yes, the blighters are all different!

And yes, you are going to have to remove the suspension strut and all that entails - which seems to be the more involved operation - the top mounting bushes are relatively easy by comparison! I will start on it now and shortly lock the thread as there are a lot of codes and formatting I need to do to get it all in here. So I will put it into 2 procedures - the Strut and secondly the Bushes for the Front Suspension Upper Support.

Replacing Bushes: Front Suspension Upper Support

Procedure Specifically for Citroen C5 X7 DW10CTED4 with Hydraulic Suspension Only

The bushes are shown at (11) on the diagram (click to zoom)
John Pivot.PNG
This operation necessitates the removal of the front hydraulic strut, so is in 2 parts.

Part 1 Hydraulic Suspension Strut Removal

Tools
JGRA Strut A.PNG
JGRA Strut B.PNG
JGRA Strut C.PNG
[1] Hub Immobilising Tool 6310-T.[2] Ball-Joint Extractor 1892-T.[3] Spanner for removing "Slimline" spheres 8611-T.
Note: In this procedure you will find reference to replacing the seal shown at (23). There is no specific 'O' ring shown on the suspension strut parts diagram, however there are 3 'O' rings shown in the general suspension parts section, so I can't advise as to which one of the three this seal is:
JGRA O ring.PNG
(2) Part 5280Y2 (DIAM 10 MM)
(3) Part 5280Q0 (DIAM 3.1 TOR 1.9)
(4) Part 5280V9 (DIAM 4.75 MM)
Here is a link to my post detailing the Depressurisation, Draining, Filling and Bleeding of the Hydraulic Circuit with pictures. The hydraulic circuit needs to be depressurised before removing the Strut, so make sure you have a few litres of LDS fluid handy before commencing the operation.

This looks very similar to the setup of the C6. Do you know if it is in fact the same?
