Youngest daughter has a Megane C+C and had a SAAB 900 (that was identical to a 93) cab. Almost bought a 207 cc but it broke before the transaction.
Her elder sister has an MX-5 Cabriolet and a Mk 2 Escort cabriolet and has had two 93) cabs - they like their open air motoring.

Re: Open-Top motoring....
Just popped out for some supplies and had to take my partner's Suzuki Celerio, a fun drive for a tiny car, as my aircon compressor is in bits in the garage, and found this along the way:
It is for sale at around £6k, I have the chap's phone number if any one wants to go open air in style!!

Re: Open-Top motoring....
I've been keeping an eye on Merc SL for a while. Loads of the advertisers say they'll soon be a classic and prices will be going up..... no sign of that yet ! Prices of perfectly usable ones range from £4.5k - £8k. They have a party trick where you can fry the soft top ECU if you're unlucky when jump starting the car due to a flat battery. A lot of money for a recon unit - though I think BBA-Reman do them.

Might as well resurrect these up from the FCF archives seeing as they are bang on topic.
A couple of offerings from Citroen....the C3 times 2
Anyone had a pluriel? What was the best colour for a Pluriel?

That's the original C1 isn't it?
I love it in yellow....
Some debate about it but the Type C, evolved first into a C2, and then a C3, and the most likely of those based on the chassis number on the sale particulars, is that the car sold at the auction was a C3!
So here we have a nice pair of C3's about 90 years apart, don't think I have ever seen a yellow pluriel in the flesh but I do like it

From this article in the New York Times a 50's "Hideaway Hardtop"
Regards Neil
Have a read of the first couple of paragraphs of the article and discover Parisian Dentist Georges Paulin and his contribution to a much earlier manifestation of the foldaway hardtop.

Take a bow Georges Paulin
"a dentist, noted automobile designer and hero of the French Resistance during the Second World War" and now rightly having his 5 minutes of fame on the FCF Off Topic Chat Lounge
Worth a wiki read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Paulin
Did a fair bit of work for Rolls Royce and Bentley too

Re: Open-Top motoring....
It was actually possible to get 2 adults in the back as well as 2 adults in the front of my F-I-Ls 307CC, I wouldn't exactly say it was comfy, but it could be done

Re: Open-Top motoring....
Nice thought Neil but it wouldn't be that one !! Right engine, wrong gearbox, nice colour - not sure if it was BRG or Brooklands Green - but wrong interior for me, has to be black. Also high mileage is probably the reason for the low price, mine sold for £16,500 two years ago with only a genuine 24000 on the clock. But it was great to own for the 6 years I had it, although it was only on the road for the last 2.

Quite a nice looker but that rag top reminded me of my first baby's pram.

Seeing as it has 2 of the generally considered downers, auto box and tan interior, I think thats a good price for the seller!!
