- That great old British Chinese Marque MG, who are pushing their well priced vehicles pretty hard in the UK at the moment have announced they are to build their new Electric Car the ZS-EV at Abingdon Longbridge Gujarat India. The facility at Gujarat acquired from General Motors, was revamped at a minimum initial investment of Rs 2,000 crore, and will have an initial capacity of 80,000 units per annum in the first phase and will roll out its first car in 2019. MG was acquired by Chinese car giant SAIC in 2008. The latest facility, is spread over an area of 170 acres.
