Citroen Synergie remote key transponder

Post by tony1976 »

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the the transponders for the Citroen synergie clamshell type key are interchangeable?
I have found a few on eBay but the number on the sticker is different to mine they do however look identical.

I have attached the picture of mine and one I have found on eBay if anyone could advise before I get it wrong that would be great

I don't think that code is anything to do with the compatibility - it's probably just a serial number or manufacturer code.

The transponder chip is imbedded in the base of the keyblade on a synergie with this type of key, not on the remote PCB.

There’s 2 types of fob with these, with and without electronic anti theft, so depends what version you have.

Pop your VIN up and we can se which type you have.

You have an extra character in that VIN - I think you have duplicated the '3' after the '128'. If so, that's fine, I have removed it.

If that's the case you have the DW10ATED 2.0 HDi 110. This has the electronic anti-theft key.

So the transponder is located in the fob as shown below:

The bottom pic is a non remote key though.
The transponder chip is located in the base of the keyblade (part 4 on the diagram).

It was just the key I choose from a different diagram - this should make it clearer.

does anyone know if it's possible to just swop the keyblades and electrics out from my damaged key to a new shell?
item number on eBay :113331084522 it does look like on one of the pics that the centre pin is detachable to allow the key blade to pop out.
any help or advice once again greatly appreciated.
