Year 2099?

This unit is the MyWay system, also referred to as RNEG, made by Harman Becker.

What might be wrong, my gps is showing year 2099 and altitude -20m today?

Explanation and possible remedy here

Must go and dig mine out and see how it has fared.

It might be sulking from lack of use. How long since you last ran it?

Probably last year sometime. I do drag it out and charge it periodically although it rarely needs it.
A good excuse to replace it - no updates in it's lifetime so it is often of limited use.

Is there anything to fix this problem other than set clock and date manually? I guess this would require software update, and that won´t happen anymore.

Mine has resurrected itself.
Did some pootling around with just the map showing and it got the positioning correct.
Set it to take me home (only half a mile in a straight line but three miles by road)
It knew the way and I confused it by taking alternative routes, recalculated correctly within a few seconds.
Time was correct too, never looked at the date.

Yes, but it knew where is was going, even I know where home is without thinking....too much :rofl2:

At least it knows where home is.

Will be going to Teesside next weekend so will see if it can find it's way there.

It knew when I was at my son's house - ¼ mile away (1 mile to drive there).
It hasn't been there before :)
