I suspect slebs buying Rollers went out in the '70's - although Bentleys still seem quite popular with footballers. (b-t-w, anyone seen the Paris Hilton special edition - now that is naff; sort of Barbie Ecclestone!)

Galpin Rocket, designed by Galpin Auto and Henry Fisker. With Fisker being the guy who designed the Aston Martin DB9 and the BMW Z8. Two extremely good looking cars. For me anyways this is good looking modern car based of a modern day mustang but made better from the ducktail to the mean grill. the interior has no plastic either that you usually get with a mustang. All covered with Italian leather. Oh yeah, the best part, it has a ripple supercharger, making this car 700 bhp :-D

NB: I sincerely hope today's youngsters don't view her as some sort of role model, unless they're called Ken.

I hated the look of the C4 Cactus when it first arrived, now a few years later i quite like the look of them (but still would not want one). The C5 X7 and C6 i drooled over from the first day i ever saw one.

Have you ever noticed how black Cacti are virtually unrecognisable from the front?

Talking about celebs and their cars we had a pop group staying at the local castle, one guy had two RR Corniches a Lambo and a Jag and his only grumble was that at home in Brum he only had parking space for three of them :)

I don't see why they shouldn't. I don't particularly have any feelings on the matter but a bit of research shows she's an extremely successful businesswoman in her own right, not off Grandad's money.

& by all accounts a 1/2-decent club DJ.

Pop group, B'ham, Jag reminds me of the retired owner of a dealer in Brum who said his best day ever was when The Move walked in off the street & bought a MkII each.

Not being a fan of pop I can't remember which group this was, Deep Purple had set up a studio in the castle, it could have been them, but there were many more groups who used it later including Dire Straits, ELO, White Snake (?) Badfinger. etc., to me they were just customers.

I think if you want to see good looking cars you have to go all the way back to the video of the just pre-EU motor show posted on here recently.

The rather beautiful piece of Jazz piano music accompanying the Citroen C3 has been identified.

It is performed by John Daley and the 41 Players and is called “almost a year ago”.

But the composer appears to be Sting., although I haven’t as yet found a version performed by Sting himself.
