Of course, force of habit #-o - the XM VIN location is different:

I don't think that diagram is applicable to MK1 XMs, or early MK2s, the door jamb stickers were only introduced in about 1998 I think.

So your build date was 11th June 1993. I won't email the details that Chris has posted as there is only limited info for the early cars and only one page that can be seen more clearly by clicking the diagram.

I'm sorry that you seem to have missed out on your XM. This - I see from your vehicles list that you own a Rochdale Olympic - might cheer you up: http://rochdale-past.co.uk/the-great-hu ... reet-fire/
Not the company's premises burning down, but the fireman's hosepipe saga. I live about ten miles from Rochdale and have dealt with Rochdale Motor Panels a few times in the past. A great company from bygone times...

I had this a couple of times buying cars in Brazil.

I just left a phone number and told them to call me when they came to their senses.

Both did.

The latest is that Dad has decided to wait for his son to return home from Russia so that I can talk about price with him. It's not a dead deal but it could be a slow one.

With any luck, that'll be to your advantage.
