The Evasion looks positively baccara-esque in the comfy-chair department

Semi-astonished at the price of this....which slipped into the Brightwells Classic Auction today. Have a look and a read of the description.
Was it worth it?

Extraordinary to think that CX and XM overlapped, as they seem a generation apart. Just shows how revolutionary XM was in 1989, although definitely a PSA creation.

...and a good few ambulances, something they'd also done with BX and CX.

Well if you want to recreate the XM Ambulance promotional shot with your own vehicle you would have to go and visit Futuroscope.
Must-visit place of Poitou, the Futuroscope amusement park is situated in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, near Poitiers. This leisure park is renowned for its high-tech attractions and its unusual buildings with a futuristic architecture. A great time for both children and adults!

Futuroscope was the location for the Grand Depart in 1990 and 2000 according to the wiki list. 10 points if you know off the top of your head who won in those 2 years :-D

Top placed British Rider was 119th in 1990, and 62nd in 2000. The latter rider had the distinction of winning the first stage. Yes you can have 100 points if you can put a name to them without looking it up!

I'd have to look that up Neil...

On a related topic, Tim Moore's hilarious book 'French Revolutions' about his ride of the 2000 tour route naturally visited Futuroscope... He did not have a particularly happy time there...

Sale results in for

H&H pavilion gardens Buxton

brightwells

....and the C6 slipped into the Brightwells sale, a 11 year old diesel no less, selling for £11,220. Yes very low mileage but, looks like I was the only one semi-astonished at that price, or maybe the buyer thinks it’s some kind of investment.

Interesting to see this one - albeit withdrawn - on the H&H sale :
https://online.handh.co.uk/m/lot-detail ... id%2F91%2F
Interesting because my mate used to build them ! He worked for Southern Roadcraft, which were a small team of talented guys based on the coast in Southwick that built Cobra and Ferrari Daytona replicas. I spent many an hour down there, breathing in the oil, GRP and leather fumes, wishing I could afford one of those cars
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(
