The opening episode of BBC1's The Little Drummer Girl (John Le Carré) this week featured a goodly dose of Ro80, not hanging about either.

Hello fellow number noticers....

This is reply number 662 to this thread. Do we dare to nudge it up to post 666 on halloween!

If you remember "The Persuaders" Tony Curtis in a Ferrari Dino gave chase to a green RO 80.....

Oops wrong link but I'll leave it in....seem to have stumbled across a german info film, reminiscent of the "british Pathe" style of presentation on the RO80!

Not much to say about the Ro80 myself, I think you lot are showing your age! :rofl2:

....but a useful post to edge Neil closer to the sign of the Devil.

Lets hope reply 666 doesn't prove to be a "thread Killer" .....I enjoy this thread!

Meanwhile here's a clip from Duel with the sinister Peterbilt!

You probably have to watch the lot to build up the tension here's the final bit with a fine bit of sinister musical accompaniement

No posts since reply number 666 on Halloween?

I am afraid we will have to go slightly off topic with the results from the NEC Classic Motor Show Sale 2018
Birmingham, UK 10 - 11 November, 2018 Silverstone Auctions.

Why, because there wasn't much there that was under £10K :-D

Here's the results. A crop of Fords sold for high prices including this white XR2. In the heady days of "personal imports" I very nearly bought a new white XR2 from a Belgian Dealer.

Results list from Glenmarch

This sold for £17,775

Yes literally nothing there for the "budget" classic car punter. The hot hatches, Capris and Escorts at that sale were well out of reach.

Over in France this interesting little lot did get sold for under £10K

More on topic ie under £10k, the results here from the Charterhouse Shepton Mallet Auction 4th November are more affordable :-D

This Mercedes was sold for £340...quite a lot of car for the money!

Image

Our old friend the Tatra Tatraplan T600 did go for over £10K, £14,000 to be precise

Here's a nice pair of little fintails up for auction this Saturday by Historics at Brooklands taking place at Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge, UK

Only the little maroon one has any chance of coming under £10,000
They do have a feature rather odd instrument cluster

That's a lovely selection of classics for sale at Brooklands - with a few that might just creep in at under £10k if you're lucky.
