Classic Auctions Sept/Oct

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Upcoming auctions in September/October courtesy of Glenmarch.com

Not that great in linking directly to auction catalogues but pretty comprehensive on the when and where of upcoming classic auctions.

Go direct to the auction house websites to view vehicles.

There's one of these too, not the worlds most desirable Lancia, or the most desirable colour, but a very interesting lot which wouldnt surprise if the estimate was well smashed at the auction.

Image

and if you dont fancy the Lancia there is the very similar ALFA equivalent

Quite a number of "not solds" at Brightwells today

26th Sept Catalogue with results added

The ones I picked out all sold

The Lancia 2000 Berlina went for £7,480
Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina went for £6,050
The Renault 10 went for £3,520

Surprising result, well not really, a MkI Capri 3000E in not everyone's idea of a cool colour went for
Spoiler: show
£29,920

that little Renault 10 is properly cute. Lovely video of one being driven here seems to go surprisingly well.

There was a "no brakes" message written on the windscreen, but a really nice entry into the world of "classic Motoring" and a definite head-turner for me. I will have to get off my backside one day and take the plunge.

Nice video, and I think I saw something familiar at the start of the drive. That in the background is a very impressive bottleneck on the East Coast Mainline known as The Digswell Viaduct (or Welwyn Viaduct) already mentioned in dispatches on POTD

This is a useful little site for a bit of paddling around in classic cars for sale "on the continent".

Here it is, preloaded with a Renault 4cv search seeing as POTD featured a 4cv today.

And just to fill in the gap in the middle, here's 3CV . . .
3CV diesel fuel treatment.jpg
The same stuff and dosage as Miller's Diesel Power Plus and Wynn's Diesel Fuel Treatment, and available in Spain.

That's a pricy Saxo...

Good to see they seem to be appreciating in value but never realised there was an auto...

The early S1 Saxo is definitely the cream of the crop :)

Sale results from Bicester Brightwells Classic and Vintage Sale 24th October 2018

https://www.brightwells.com/classic-mot ... h-october/

I quite liked the Alfetta top of the list in alphabetical order, not your top drawer classic but interesting enough.

The year I was born... I'd rather have the other car born at the same time as me though - the Mini :)

Wasn't the 105E Anglia also born in 1959?
