AA Box Challenge-Your FCF needs you!

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Particularly if you come from Devon, Wales or Jersey! or are planning a visit there.....
Four boxes left
2 in Wales, 1 in Devon, 1 in Jersey
Here they are....A box is claimed with an original photograph. The photo could be made a bit more interesting if it includes an animate eg person(s)/dog/horse, or inanimate object eg car/bike as well as the plain old box!

I hereby claim 580 Boduan. We went to a day out today and ended up in Criccieth so it wasn't too far out of the way to go and photograph it. Sorry the van got in the way :-)

Not at all, shout away. Here's another pic with the focus more on the AA box than my 205.

Red_dwarfers has already beaten me to this one, but I passed 161 Nantyffin today so stopped to take a pic, even though the weather was awful.

However, this was just a practice run for...

Yup, it's 289 - Devil's Bridge. I would have included my 205 in the picture but when I got there there was an AA-branded Commer Imp van parked in front on it, owned by a man on this own quest to photograph all of the AA boxes, so it seemed more appropriate to photograph that instead.

I have absolutely no plans for Devon or Guernsey, so it's up to someone else to grab the final two.

Did you manage to have a chat with our Commer Imp driver Eifion :?:

Wonder if there is a blog somewhere of their quest. Maybe should sign them up for the FCF to get the Jersey box knocked off :-D

I did, yes. He'd not long been to the Lake District to photograph the boxes up there but hadn't yet visited the Nant y Ffin one. According to him the AA evaluated the Commer Imp vans but never put them into service. His wasn't originally an AA one but he'd done a pretty good job of making it look like one.

A bit late now but Robyn 'bagged' the Devil's Bridge one a few weeks back when she visited Aber...

I can take no credit for it but Robyn did take the trouble to photograph it for me :) What a lovely daughter I have!!!

I would have but not quite so much... I just love yellow vehicles... Any vehicle looks brilliant in yellow... My favourite colour :-D
