Parked up at home, but the extra dog walk last night has taken it past perfection!
One Mile out!
One Mile out!
Thats 135,196 miles since the autiobox rebuild (AF40, AM6, AWTF-80 SC or whatever you want to call it!) and its still on the same ATF from the communal VAT at the transmission specialist!

Marginally satisfying, tiny bit of engineering in terms of where to take the dog for a walk and as we pull up at our door this appears on the milometer.

trawling my archives again, 80,000miles on my 1987 Antelope Beige Series 1 309GRD. My 'entry' into Peugeot ownership.

I had a 9 year break from driving between 1997 and 2006 ....a bicycle has its limitations, but is cheap!

Excellent stuff, I think in acknowledgement of the extra snippet of information re the location which has an excellent name which I do like, I'll go and have a consult with Geograph and see if there is a random image of "Flash" to put up on POTD! :-D

er...may have got the wrong one!

..and just for over the topness I have added an appropriate track to the Pickled Egg Jukebox

lol, brilliant Neil. No, you seem to have got the right 'Flash'. I don't recall the pub, but it was over 10 years ago I was there.

Don't think I ever bothered to sort out why the 309 ticked over at a rather racey 1100rpm, or if the mileage was genuine; general condition of the car suggested it was.

Sorry...I haven't nearly the patience or knack for forward planning to make the trip mileage match up too...plus it's reset whenever I fuel up.

It's just a random really - main nearby target is 133331 of course.
Current fleet:
06 Peugeot Partner Escapade 1.6HDi, 88 Renault 25 Monaco, 85 Sinclair C5, 84 Trabant 601S, 75 Rover 3500, 73 AC Model 70.

I had to take my company van in for her MoT, and on the way, seeing it would happen, I got this. Unfortunately it was NOT a good picture, but the mileage was 88888.

Is there a heirarchy of significant milages? Extra kudos for the engineered milometer.

Top of the tree a straight flush 012345, 123456, 234567
6 of a kind 111111, 222222
5 of a kind like James' 88888
Two triples 111,222 111,999 222,111 etc
Mirror 3 Pairs 220022 114411
Three pairs 114455 223344
Up and Down short Straight 197791 142241
Matching threes 127127, 225225

So what this then? Well its an up and down short straight with no extra points for the milometer. Fairly second division :-D
