Well that particular Citroen H van (PMY 528W) is one of the fleet of the Vintage Catering Company and is known as "Beau". It was initially restored and had a blue and white paint job...

turned into bronze about 2015

Not as I first imaginged the van being owned by Callestick Farm and trundled up from Cornwall to the show at Blenheim packed up with stocks of their ice cream. No bit more the event hiring the Five Star Caterers Ltd and their fleet of vans under the Vintage Catering Company banner to provide a catering solution to compliment their event.

Bronze "Beau" is by no means a dedicated ice cream van a little bit of signage change and its "Pulled Pork"!

No, but it looks quirky, which means it should sell. It is (I would hope) faster and more economical than the original H-Van.

That's not difficult James - H Vans are never noted for their speed or fuel efficiency...

First one since December! This is a "mover" in fact it has just had a Ford Pinto Engine put in it by Dragon Classics at Colwyn Bay.....yes we did visit it on our North Wales holiday a couple of years ago.

The Van itself used to be a Pick-up. Most of the panels from the cab backwards are fibre glass replicas, and the interior is professionally kitted out with state of the art Pizza oven and cooking facilities and has plenty of headroom. Had a good chat with the owner who is a professional chef.

There were three H Vans this year at Royal Ascot. I cannot say if any are in a driveable state (although, as one of them had a flat left rear tyre, I suspect at least one is not roadworthy).

Have you seen the van in Escape to the Chateau? Angel converted it to a bar.

Tried to find a picture but no luck so far.

Thanks Alisdair, a side on view would be more impressive, it's rather long. :)

I hereby claim my 50 points for spotting an H Van in the wild.

Spotted passing me at James Hamilton Heritage park near East Kilbride back on the 7th of May.

Apparently belonging to Edinburgh Beer factory.

Another "Whatarethechancesofthathappening?" moment

Drove past that very vehicle yesterday in Dalkeith, parked up and servicing the crowds at some kind of music festival at Dalkeith (Lets Rock Scotland to be precise Heaven 17, ABC, Midge Ure, Tony Hadley, Billy Ocean, Marc Almond, etc)

Only drove that way because I missed the turnoff to come in the top end of Dalkeith...and less than 24 hours later it appears on I Spy Citroen H-Vans

Remarkable!
