And I'm assuming you have replaced the multi-function screen too? The RT3 one wont work with RT6 as the RT3 used an optical connection.

@GiveMeABreak

I still didn't change anything, because I'm trying to figure this one. I have everything, RT6 screen, unit, usb cable, screen cable and video/audio input which you usual find in passenger compartment.

@EDC5
I must check when I get home, but I have 4 wires if I'm remembering correctly on the brown connector. And that fourth wire goes to the video/audio input which you usual find in passenger compartment. This RT4 pinout shows that 4 and 5 are not used, 6 is ground, so it does not mention video input anywhere.

Guys, sorry, I made a mistake. Fourth wire is connected to pin 6 which is ground and it goes to the quadlock, not to the video/audio input. And I will probably not use that wire, since it'is used to turn the screen by 180 degree.

For information, the AV connectors don't go to the screen - they are connected to the Head unit.

Yes, I know, but somehow when looking at the wires I sow it going to the screen. :D

Also, it seems that not all RT6 unit supports audio/video input. Same with reverse camera for example.

Yes that is correct only some later versions of RT6 have the hardware to support the reversing camera natively.

Landed my first Citroen, a C5 Tourer Exclusive y-day, fitted w/ RNEG MyWay. C5 kit + looks value for money was hard to argue with. After realizing the shortcomings of MyWay in first 1hr of usage, and familiarizing myself w/ retrofit options here, I just ordered a set of RT6+DG4+cables from ebay. Looking forward to the install job, show my kids what real disassembly engineering is about :)

@vborovics is a hero. Like someone else already said, this thread is the top internet know-how source for RNEG units. I also appreciate other chipping in here with great nuggets. Thanks @GiveMeABreak for taking over stewardship.

Xantippa wrote: 16 May 2014, 10:59 I´ve ordered that 16069478ZD from citroen-accessories.com to a friend of mine, and it had 88mm high opening. I thought there is some newer model too. This 16069478ZD isn´t the original part number though. I think sellers are selling old ones with new part-number because they don´t understand there´s a difference on these panels.

We tried to order this, which is the older model I think, but it wasn´t available in last year: http://www.citroen-accessories.com/home ... 069-4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As far as I can tell looking through some VIN codes on service.citroen.com the correct part number for the RNEG2 RT6 DG4 screen-compatible DASHBOARD PANEL (94mm height, left-handed drive) is: (8231 06) RP 16069484ZD

88mm height opening 16069478ZD dashboard panel is indeed for the RT4 screen, which is what I have right now.

None of those are C5 X7 screen part numbers I'm afraid. You're probably looking at another vehicle....

Note LE-2013 options have now also been replaced with 9804707380.

Yikes, I missed specifying that I was replying to "finding the bigger screen opening dashboard panel" problem. Made the edit now.

Thanks, ^^^^ is exactly right and also confirms what I thought I saw. My service.citroen.com view seems to be somewhat less detailed, or maybe I don't know how to use that website yet (it is literally the worst website UX I've seen in years, lol).

My ebay screen supplier happened to "miss" sending me the screen-unit connection cable(s). After some ebay messaging, he agreed to send them over. But just in case, Marc what's your take on what the cable(s) part number(s) should be?

Is it just 6574KZ that's required to connect RT6 to DG4?

6574LA USB connector cable would also be nice to have...

6574KZ is for the NG4 Navidrive 3D connection not the RT6. You need 659366 for the RT6 to Screen connection - however my information suggests it may be the same cable for the RNEG systems (i.e. MyWay or eMyway / RT6).

Again that USB cable is for the NG4 Navidrive 3D system. :-D

Ok, have your VIN and confirmed the screen cable is the same for both units, so you won't need to change that.
