RNEG (MyWay) Swap Issues

Post by MacSlavko »

I'm having problems with a RNEG unit in my C5 2012. The original headunit suffered from restarting issue. So I decided to swap it for another RNEG (MyWay). Now it doesn't restart, it works fine, bur on dash display it says "Zone not mapped", whereas on the central 7" display map info is correctly displayed.
Any solutions to this one?

Mirascripts won't work here as this isn't a Magenti Marelli unit...

If you go back through the early part of this thread I believe it explains what needs doing.....

...or you can just live with it, which is what I did.

Thanks for the input!
I've read the begining of the post. But problem there was with eMyWay (RNEG2) headunit which can read USB and hence Mirascripts are aplicable.

But here's the situation with MyWay (RNEG) and that's completly different software base (Quinx operating system) and unfortunatelly can't be modified with Mirascripts...

Any other ideas?

I’m splitting this into a new thread as this is causing confusion.

So on the replacement unit, you will have retained the configuration parameters in the ECU from the previous vehicle. if you have access to Diagbox, I would suggest you check through the ECU / BSI configuration, to make sure the correct country or region options are set. If any of these are wrong, including the dashboard instrument display screen, then you may have problems.

Don't have the access to DiagBox. In the C-Service they aparently just VIN-coded it to the car (no more Beeping), but maybe ther's something else to do as the navi-info aren't passed to the small MFD.

Strange though they didn't see or didn't know to set it up right in the authorised Citroen dealer?

It’s probably not something they do very often, that’s the reason. The units are already coded and configured to the vehicle with the correct options for that specific car and for the specific Country at the factory.

Dealer technicians never really need to do anything.

So as you have got one from another car, it may have some other settings from the other vehicle stored in the ECU. The correct VIN code will stop the beeping, but it won’t do anything else. :-D
