I tried a picked egg for the first time a few years ago. It was OK but it was very dry.

Aldi again had wipers for £2.99, not Bosch but another well known make.
And yet again I had forgotten to measure mine :)

I might get one of those power bank things. The Scenic requires me to remove the battery to change the n/s headlight bulb...

Guess why my sis-in-law gave it me with a duff headlight. Now guess which side it is..

I currently have one of those power banks already (well, something similar). I should check the charge on it. Assuming it is good I take it you would want to borrow it should it work?

That would be useful. I just want to connect it to the battery leads while I remove the battery as I'm not sure I've got stuff like the radio code..

A bit peeved about the Canon printer, for thirty quid I might have given it a go, although Canon rarely work with Linux.
Just had to buy a new HP laser printer and it has been a bugger to set it up, quite unusual, all previous ones have just worked with no intervention from me. A couple of hors and it has printed stuff but I'm not overwhelmed with it and the menus are very cryptic.

Aldi cycle stuff is normally very good.. Most of my winter commuting kit came from Aldi and it stood up to some quite severe stuff and passed with flying colors...

It gets good write-ups in many of the Facebook cycling groups too...

There is some car stuff starting at Lidl today, including a charger/jumpstarter/inflator for £60.

Can these things really produce enough current for a few seconds to start a car, or is there a mixture of hope and artistic licence involved, does the car's own battery still need to have a bitb of capacity too? I had an RAC bloke start a Mini like this about 30 years ago instead of jump leads, but I assume it was a bit larger.

The trick with the booster pack is that you leave it connected for several minutes to allow it to help the main battery recover, and then you try to start the car.

I don't know if the Lidl ones are any good but miniature Lithium Ion booster packs in general are the real deal and will start a car with a flat battery.
