That is what is known as an Infinity...never knew until recently that Infinity was the luxury vehicle division of Nissan.

In the same way that Lexus is the high end division of Toyota. Very few (if any) upper management types would drive a Toyota, but a Lexus is a different matter.

Indeed, and Honda have their luxury marque in Acura. Mazda considered doing something similar, played around with the Xedos 6 and 9 in the 1990s, but then dropped the initiative.

Toyota seemed to have conned everyone with the Lexus brand but Infinity doesn't seem to have worked so well, at least here. I had one on hire in the 'States last year, it was rubbish (especially as I'd booked a Buick). Mind you, it was an SUV, I'd have preferred aToyota HiLux!

With reference to the thread title, IMO this monster falls far short.
Also the spelling errors in the article are abysmal.

It's not too bad from the side, I suppose, but the front? Bleurghhh.

It's certainly not a worthy successor to the Phantom V & VI which while not exactly elegant (the Clouds were so much better proportioned) had an on road presence even bigger than their actual size.

I assume the Phantom VII was the 1st attempt by BMW - although I don't recall it ever being referred to as anything other than Phantom.

This latest effort is not THAT bad, but unfortunately it's the shape of Rollers to come (&, possibly, an improvement on the Bentley SUV: almost as ugly as its unspeakable name!)

Since realising that the Infiniti wasn't a Mazda I've seen loads of them - almost one a day.
I thought they were for the USA only but see there is a dealer in Newcastle.

Can't say that its particularly good looking, but it is nice and bright, and caught my eye. Would be interesting to see an original Fiat 500 parked next to it, just to give some sense of scale!

Can't really put in in our SUV thread, its not ugly enough, and it might call itself a mini mpv (wiki describes it as a B-segment mini MPV)

I think you could put an original Fiat 500 in the boot of that thing Neil

You're right though... At least it's a nice, bright lively colour.... Makes a very refreshing change...
