206 HDI cruise control retrofit

We had a fiddle with peugeot planet and it wouldn't let us set it from 'missing' or 'absent' to 'enabled'. I think the problem might be that the cruise stalk I have has a speed limiter function on it, and it might only work with the more simple on/off stalk? The car did recognise the stalk was present however, because I could see the status of the cruise switch on the screen in one of the sections.

I have a Bosch EDC15C2 and the same problem - cannot activate CC in ECU menu, only missing is available cannot change to present. Is there any solution of the problem? I have try to change car to 307 and to Xsara Picaso via lexia, still there is no option for activation .

In order for you to enable CC - you must have the correct brake switch fitted and the correct stalk module - you can't just put any stalk in, as it has to be compatible and recognised first.

Trying to change the vehicle with Lexia / Peugeot Planet is not the way to do it - these cars have specific modules and different electronic architectures to each other - you risk damaging your car trying this!

Post up or PM your VIN and I can confirm the correct brake switch and stalk for you.

Ok, so you have the 206 3 DOOR SALOON 2.0 HDi 90 Manual gearbox 5 - with ESP.

I have checked your brake switch and that seems to be the same used for models with the Cruise AND Speed Limiter. So your problem seems to be with the stalk fitted.
There are several types and one just has the Speed Limiter (regulation) and the other has both Cruise and the Limiter.

The one that has both is part number 6242 Z8.

Make sure you follow the battery disconnect procedure first before you swap them and then the BSI reset after, then you should see the option to enable it in PP2000

Hello colleagues, I have Peugeot 206 1.4 HDI Eco 70 and yesterday I had tried to activate the CC (cruise control) but wihout postive result. I inserted the module in switch and I went in Peugeot Planet 2000 to activate this function (missing ===>presence) and still remain in missing function, actually I cannot activate somehow. This fault is concerning the clutch switch. No signal or not coherent. So you need to check your clutch pedal sensor.

I do not assume, as it is an error arising when activating the cruise control at 49km/h in 4 gears. At the same reading, there was also P0704 at 135km/h.

Over a few years, it has, from time to time, come up with errors on the speed pilot, where it will not activate the pilot. I looked at it this summer, where I saw that it was only active in the BSI but not in the ECU, after which I also turned it on here, but it still occurs. And still haven't found what registers 4 gears as I suspected this?

This is the first time I have gotten a readout of the error.

Don't suppose the clutch has been touched during actuation, and is the switch at the pedal, not just an on/off switch? What impact was this supposed to create? (will check this contact next time)

If the clutch switch is faulty or intermittently working, then the engine ECU will cut out the cruise control, simple as that for safety reasons.

only searched the switch, and can see that there are several wires, do you have a diagram of it so I know what is what? and at the same time, now that I'm in here. Can you tell me which wire I can connect to with +, which is also one that disconnects when the car shuts down? Maybe 2V NR on PSF1?

For aftermarket equipment, best to use a piggy back fuse connector from the interior fusebox. Depends what it is you are connecting.

Wire C04 on Pin 2 of the Clutch Switch is the Ignition controlled +ve and goes to Pin 2 (wire C03) of the 16 pun Green connector in the BSI (Fuse F4)
Wire 6783B on Pin 1 of Clutch Switch is the Engine clutch position (A) and goes to Pin E3 on 48 pin Maroon Engine ECU connector.
