My mobile always tells me I am on EE when I never have been. Been with BT for over forty years with no real problems other than the call centers -

When I first got involved with the internet BT were the main company linked to another (can't think who at the mo) under the Lineone name, they sold out their share and walked away, it's passed since through a number of companies and names, now BT is buying back into the game big time.

My beef with BT is that the small print on all their offers and deals is ten times the words on the front page, a relic of the nationalised company pattern of the past.

Just remembered it was a BT and News International joint venture.

You all seem to have overlooked my other grouse about PlusNet was that the only way to contact them was by writing. If you've managed to resolve issues by 'phone, you clearly have more patience, stamina, determination - AND time, than I.

I resolved a technical issue by phone with PlusNet - very satisfactorily too... Spoke to a very competent person who surprised me with his deep knowledge and understanding of the issue..

I must say that my phone calls to PlusNet have certainly involved a degree of waiting but nothing extortionate. You have to wait for every company in my experience.

That's nothing compared to the wait I had to endure trying to speak to BT customer service back when I was with them. I had to set aside a minimum of an hour for them. And then they'd lie to me about the refund they owed me.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

At work we're expected - no, required - to answer a phone within 3 rings, that's the minimum customer service standard & I expect that of any/everybody else. However, with PlusNet it's not so much the waiting, as the pantomime when you get through although, yes, if/when you are successful the people are helpful & seem to know their stuff.
