Ok, so I think this is coming together now. I've just pondered over some more documents.

Vlad - where your old monochrome screen was, behind and above this is where the 'Independent Telematic Unit' is located (No 17 on the previous Diagram) - which you have on your car. Picture below.
Ind Telematic Unit Vlad.PNG
This unit should stay - as it will likely control the Citroen Services & SOS function. It houses a backup battery internally.

The other component - The Telephone Interface Kit - could be the one the microphone is connected to and is located (Left Hand Drive Cars) behind the passenger glove box here:
Hands Free Kit Vlad.PNG
Hands Free Kit 2 Vlad.PNG
Now there are 2 types of this kit - and the one that comes up for your car also mentions USB ( No reference to USB without changing the filter). So this is probably where the USB from the socket in the armrest goes to (directly or indirectly).

Very good job Marc. So I have to unmount probably the glove box and take out the connectors from it, anyway now that module is useless. And I will also take out the part C connector from rt6. Is this right?

On an aside: is there a guide for removing the glovebox? I have a rattle behind there that I'd like to locate?

Thanks for that Marc, unfortunately the instructions to remove the glovebox lid are a bit useless and the diagrams too pixelated to see and useful detail haha. Guess I'll have to get my hammer :(

Edit: Got the glovebox and door off, the rattle appears to be from the door unit so I took it apart and reattached the left hand opening pin which had come adrift.

For RHD cars the screw locations in the official procedure are completely incorrect.

Hello guys. Some news after today’s parameters check and change, according to Citroen:

I went into ECUS PRESENT and deactivate radio, hands free, display, but after this, I went into Vehicle Configuration and Driving Confort, and here I disabled RD4, display, hands free, exactly like is written on the settings from Citroen.

Everything is working now, even the guidance from the instrument cluster, but I cannot delete three errors from BSI.

Please take a look at the second picture to see. This is coming from the nomade box removal from yesterday and cutting of the wire which was going into Part C of unit connector, as you can see in first picture, with the red arrow, but I am Wondering why the errors cannot be deleted if I have removed hands free and so on from BSI setup? If nothing will work, I will put back the nomade box and that’s it...

What do you think?

Perhaps a BSI restart with the battery down can help? I do not understand why BSI is not forgetting about my old RD4, cd changer and nomade.

Hi vlad, that is simply because the ECU for the Hands Free Unit is still coded in the BSI and it cannot find it hence the error. What needs to happen now is to delete the ECU from the BSI. The same for the Audio Unit.

Give me a few minutes to locate the way to do it.

Ok, so first of all can you confirm you have VIN coded the RT6?

So now we have to tell the BSI we no longer have the audio unit and the Hands Free kit. (Make sure Internet is not connected while doing this, as it may deactivate). If you get any messages about connectivity, just press the red cross.
1) Run a Global test.
2) After it has finished, scroll up to the first item, which should be the BSI.
3) Press Green Tick
4) There may be a message about Parameter measurements or similar - just confirm if asked to get to the next screen
5) The select Repair
6) Select Configuration and WAIT - it may take quite some time to finish and you may get connection messages again - just press red cross if these appear.
7) Next choose MANUAL configuration
8) Then Choose ECUs present
9) You may get a message saying to select the ECUs present on the vehicle - Confirm
10) In the radio option, select and set that to ABSENT
11) On the 'Telematics Unit or Radio Navigation Option' - set that to Present
12) On the Hands Free Kit / Portable Unit', set that to ABSENT.

Once set, you can back out, switch off car ignition, leave for a minute, start car and see if that has solved the problem.

But Marc, I did this already. And yes, the VIN is coded....I went exactly where you said and after that I went to Vehicle Configuration and Driving and Confirt and set there ABSENT these three: CE Changer, RD4 and Display. And I was about to forget, hands free.

But did you do it through this sequence? There are several places to do the configuration. If you run another global test, are the same messages coming up?

Then try and read the fault codes, then clear them, then run another global test.

I did it first from ECUS PRESENT menu, after that delete the faults, exit from Diagbox, stop the engine. This was in the morning. After that, a few hours ago I went into another place in the menu, Vehicle Configuration - Driving and Confort. Here I found the same parameters, Radio, display, hands free, Cd changer, and switched to ABSENT. Went back to fault read, delete faults, exit Diagbox, stop the car, start it again, scan, and the errors are still there.
