But these config files are some files which have to pe uploaded via Diagbox into bsi for example or just instructions in order to see what we have to configure manually?

They are the list of parameters that need changing in the relevant sections, depending on the presence / absence of equipment / options.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
Sorry if I'm missing something here.
On some RD4 cars, the USB is connected to the radio via the Nomad box, this box acts as a virtual CD changer and therefore connects to the CD changer part of the Quadlok. I assume the RT6 has it's own USB controller on board therefore a different USB socket is required that connects directly to the RT6.
Unless you have and actual 6 CD changer, nothing should be in the part C of the RT6.

Where is this Nomad Box? Perhaps the cable from my hand rest USB port is plugged in into that box. If I can find it, I can unplug the grey conector and plug it into RT6 directly.

As you can see here,
http://m.aliexpress.com/item-desc/2041304339.html
This USB Port has one cable, probably like mine. One side is plugged into USB Port, the second into......... where?

Second plugs directly into RT6! I would just buy that set and replace your existing usb plug with that and connect it directly RT6. No need to worry about location of that nomad-box.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
Xantippa, but what if my existing one has a connector somewhere which is plugged in using the same grey connector? It is not much more simple to unplug this and put it into RT6? This is what I am willing to find, where is my USB port cable behind going...

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
I think that nomad-box was workaround to get usb- and bluetooth support for RD4 and that's why it connects differently. So you cannot connect RD4 usb and RT6 usb same way.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
Look what I have just found. Seems that this is the nomade module. And it has two connectors, the small one is for usb and aux. what do you think, is this the same with usb connector from RT6?

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
And for me seems these are exactly the same. So what I have to do is to find the nomade module and unplug the usb connector, and plug it into rt6. I think the same I need to do for microphone but who knows which are the two wires....and where to link them.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
Here is the RT6 pinout
Look for microphone, Pin 3 and Pin 9 of "CC" is the microphone, you may habe to run a new cable (I did)
Throw the Nomade box away and connect the USB socket directly to the RT6.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
I’ll dig it out for tou this morning before I get on with the other job.
Well done guys, that sounds like it and makes sense. I could see from my earlier posts and diagrams that there was a aux mulimedia block, so no doubt it is this that is providing the bluetooth and the music using the CD changer wiring. I struggled to see how the USB can be wired into part C.
It would help if they used the same terminology to describe the equipment in the wiring diagrams, documents and parts!
