I can recommend the Interior Windscreen Cleaner, especially with the large sloped C5 'screen.
As it's telescopic, it's so much easier than stretching and contorting to reach the far corners allowing me to remain sitting comfortably in the drivers seat.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Back to the checkouts; our local Lidl is rather haphazard to say the least. Our Aldi is very fast indeed; in fact I was told a couple of years ago (when the staff member on checkout was having a problem with the card reader network being very slow) that they were expected to log 1000 items per hour. Aldi is certainly the fastest supermarket checkout I have ever been through by a country mile - and that goes for all of the Aldi's I have used country wide.

I prefer the US system where in most supermarkets they won't let you pack your own stuff, they have an assistant to do it for you, no charge for the bags either, they use strong brown paper bags.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

For those who missed previously, Aldi still have their smart chargers in stock. Can strongly recommend.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Found a real cracker of a bargain in the Lidl Specials today
I'd been after a little wireless for when I'm on my own at work...
I spotted this for £7.95...
It even came with batteries, a soft pouch and a set of earphones!
It's absolutely fine for what it is and satisfies my needs beautifully...

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Just got hold of some crackingly good winter cycling clothing from Aldi... Highly recommended and very well priced
Their Merino wool socks, neck warmers and base layers are particularly good.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Aldi, on Thursday 05/10, are doing some DIY tools and bit, as well as Hallowe'en bits (so it could be possible for somebody to get everything they need to go around dressed up for "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"). However, one of the strangest things they have is a cordless (and battery-less) fan. Before you think it is a folded piece of paper, it is a unit that uses a peltier semi-conductor to power the fan motor;

Aha! A peltier fan!
Strangely enough, I just saw two of those in the lovely Golden Larches roadside restaurant at Balquhidder station.
They are designed to sit on top of a wood-burning or other stove, and help circulate warmth around the room.
The lower half gets hot; the upper half remains cooler; peltier slab is sandwiched in between.
The good ladies there said theirs did work rather well.
I've just realised I could get into trouble for that last sentence...

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
My Mum has one on her narrow boat. When she has her oven running the fan is sitting on top, keeping the boat nice and warm.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
They look like pretty good value, I have seen them for around £50. The cottage where we stay in Scotland has one and the owner has one on the Rayburn. I have been thinking of getting one for our multi fuel stove, the only problem is that our nearest Aldi and Lidl stores about 15 or more miles away so by the time we get there they will probably have stopped doing them.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
You could always ask a friend who is local to an Aldi to pick one up for you. I know somebody who usually is working when the offers come in, and I will (when asked) try and pop in on his behalf.

The Sterling Engine powered ones are more fun, though!
