Re: Notices..what have you spotted?
Following the "Bill Posters will be Prosecuted" (but what did Bill do?) theme, I remember, when I was younger, responding to the command (with films or TV shows) "Fire at Will" with either "What did Will do?" or "Run for it, Will".

Re: Notices..what have you spotted?
Rule 10 on that board (rules and egulations) reminds me of an old Peter Cook and Dudley Moore sketch, where the two were discussing a recent visit to the zoo. Went something like this...
And then we got to a sign which read Topical Fish, Dud.
Funny, I thought, Topical Fish. What's going on here?
So we looked at the fish, and couldn't see anything much topical about them.
Not to be outdone, we went looking for a Keeper, Dud, to see whether he could help.
Well, we found one, and he explained that, yes, it wasn't exactly the fish that were topical, but the guy who looked after the signs...
It was a seasonal thing, with him. Every winter, he had terrible trouble with the wind . . . his Rs used to blow off regularly. Never knew how to prevent it, poor chap.

A couple of bits of paper and blu tack can create a bit of innovative take on an innocent hotel room number
