I love cars in lovely bright and vibrant colours and abhor the current trend for drab...
The Armstrong Siddeley looks fantastic! As old as me too

Regarding colours...
Currently sat in Tesco car park. Just did a count around me. Limited to what I can easily see without getting out the car.
37 cars in a variation of "dull" colours (white, black, silver etc or other colours as dark enough that they may as well be black).
3 in a colour! Bright blue Corsa, bright red Fiesta and a pink van for a flower delivery company.
Nothing come or gone while I was typing this to break the chromatic monotony either...

...and to add to that, the colour thinking behind the Tesla Model 3 is much the same with the standard no add on paint job being black
Elektrek-Model 3 Production Colours
One of the reds is bright ....but the rest? It's a matter of taste but the model 3 will merge in with the general automaker colour boringness very well!

Leyland Leopard Dominant 1977
Its Morris and Leslies Classic Car sale today 19th August near Perth.
Bit too late to bid now but it will be interesting to find out how much this bus, and the NSU Ro80 goes for
http://stock.morrisleslie.com/stock/details?reg=RRS46R
The bus is a Leyland Leopard Dominant 1977 and has an estimate of £3,000 to £3,500 on it. Bit cheaper and more room than a Romahome!
Regards Neil

That reg number sounds familiar. The server's broken at the link just now, but was it in old Northern Scottish colours (yellow & beige).

I'll put up an alternative link to the results when they come out, but the bus does appear in other places.

I was going to put this "notice" up on the "notices thread" which appeared when I was looking for pictures tagged "RRS46R"........then I noticed it was one of yours! No wonder RRS46R sounded familiar to you.

Re: Classic for under £10K-what would be nice?
The fact that I remember reg numbers like this scares me sometimes!
Shame it's a (very late!) Dominant I rather than a Dominant II or I might have been more tempted! When I first took that photo I had to correct myself as the later "face" threw me off initially.
Good indication of values though, especially as the Leopard is a more desirable chassis generally than the Bedford that I'm ideally after...

Re: Classic for under £10K-what would be nice?
If I remember rrs46r was at Macduff depot when brand new, along with a few others the exact same with consecutive numbers. In 1977 I was 14 and travelled to school on northern scottish buses, including this one. I was in it a few weeks ago at a vintage vehicle rally in Turriff. Lovely old thing.

It gets about a bit. The yellow and cream livery is superb.

Must have come along as a reasonably late entry to the Morris and Leslie Auction, because I only just picked it up on the day of the sale itself. Shouldn't be too long before the results are posted up, see if it sold, and at what price.
Regards Neil

That was it a few weeks ago. It was lying there with the doors open and noone about. The fleet numbet is npe46 mf, the mf standing for macduff.
