Got sick and tired of false Empty warnings and levels from the fuel tank......so swapped the sender over for a cleaned one taken from the pump on the scrapper car.

You can see the build up of crud you can get

Well there you go......The French SUCK....or is it blow ?

Had an interior blower fan problem, intermittent. So I grabbed the one from the scrapper which I knew worked well and fitted that, and it worked so I put it all back together, then had to go out....

On the trip to the hill climb last weekend I put the fan on.....it worked but no Air came out the vents....rats.

Well Jim was correct.....LHD cars have the fan blades in the other direction !

So I was Blowing and not Sucking.....

Gutted the fan, new brushes, swapped the controller and put it all back together....I now SUCK very well.

Nope, just the fan so access via the trim under the glovebox.

Well the repaired fuel sender seems to be playing up now....Today I have even replaced the loom and connecter to it and it is still all over the place....next will have to be the fuel gauge I think................

That's bloody aggravating Alasdair

Hopefully just a dodgy connection on the instrument PCB... IIRC on an S1 the gauge is held in and gets its connections through studs with small nuts and they can work loose and cause intermittentcies...

Well the spare engine (green goblin) is still offering up good parts....I have a squeak on start-up which (may-be) the crank shaft pulley

This one looks almost spot on.....no cracking or any other signs of problems with the rubber insert.

Alasdair, I can tell you that pulley is quite new as I replaced it when Sid the Squid owned the Green Goblin...

Fingers crossed it fixes your squeak!

Don't throw the old pulley away as they are sure to go NFP soon; for the future our Lithuanian friend is able to refurbish them ;)
