As a lad I had much fun with Quicklys Dave, got to know them extremely well... The hard-chromed cylinder bores were a right problem and so was finding a decent two-speed gearbox layshaft - they were forever breaking as a result of too-enthusiastic gear changes!
I'd completely restored and rebuilt a fine example just before my 16th birthday... 798 JYC - wonder if it ever survived?
It even had a proper speedo fitted in the headlamp. A very rare accessory!
