Ok, that should be fine. It will play WMA and MP3 files using VBR from 8 to 320 kbps for MP3 or from 5 to 384kbps for WMA. On this system you can have navigation OR MP3 music using the SD card - but not both at the same time.

OK, thanks. Have to do some more testing. It's a bit strange that it doesn't even let me select sd-card when I try to select music. There's just cd and aux available.

I've also ordered that Yatour bt-box, so maybe it's possible to listen something else than radio in the near future. :D

The Source should be available after you press 'MUSIC' button, then 'MUSIC MENU', then select the SD source. Be aware that it can take a while to recognise the card. Make sure there is nothing else on the SD card apart from your Music Folders - I.e. no other system files. Also, make sure the card is formatted as FAT32 as I said, and ensure the card is inserted into the system before you switch the system on. It should initialise after a short time and you should be able to select the files.

Also what type of SD card are you using? (Brand, speed, capacity, class etc?)

It's 64GB Kingston SDXC Class 10 and works just fine for navigation data. I just took out navigation data from it and moved artist folders to the root, maybe I'll have time to test it tonight.

The original SD mapping cards were protected and from firmware greater than 20.16 you could not copy the mapping card data to another card and then use the Navigation without a modification - it won't work. Try using a blank SD card for music files (not the mapping SD Card). Maybe the system is identifying the SD card as a Navigation card.

I just tested with two different cards (that 64GB and another older 8GB). Both had just artist-folders in root with some albums of mp3's in artist folders (all navi-files and folders were removed). Both formatted as FAT32 with HP USB disk formatter tool. My RNEG doesn't regognize either of them, eventhough the larger one worked just fine with navi-files. I made full reset via hidden menu, but that didn't help either. I tried to find some setting to enable music playback from sd-card in hidden menu, but didn't find any. This is getting quite strange...

HP Disk Formatter Tool? I assume you are using a Windows based PC to format the cards?

Yes. On Win10 it's not possible to format to FAT32 natively - at least not that bigger card. There's only exFAT and NTFS available via OS's own format-tool. I've used that software for many usb-sticks and sd-card for several purposes without problem. And that works with navi-files, so this is quite odd.

I have Windows 10 64 Bit and FAT32 is an option I can assure you, as I use it all the time.

There's certain size-limit, my 64gb card is not possible to format to FAT32 with Window's own tool, but with 8gb card it's available.

I just read myway user guide at service.citroen.com, and there's no mention about music playback from sd-card, only MP3 playback from CD. I read same info also on some french citroen-discussion -forum. So it seems that Myway just plays MP3-files from CD's. Don't know wether this is software version related then...

So it really seems that some of rneg-units (don't know whether it's hw or sw related) are not capable of playing music from sd-card. I'll look more to this and tell here if I find out something.

Hi Chaps,
I posted on this thread a while back, regarding re-boot/re-start issues with the NAV system in my C5. I have not yet been able to resolve it. Reading the thread through, it seesm there are 3 typical causes:
1. Corrupted SD card - This is not the problem mine has, as I have tried with the card out, and still get the same issues
2. Overheating problems - This is very unlikely, as the reset of the system is almost immediate and the fault is the same regardless of cabin temperature
3. Firmware issues - this one i have not been able to try, as I have not been able to locate a source of the latest firm ware for my system, nor do I know how I may be able to install this. So this is where I would welcome some guidance. My existing firmware is rneg_D_R20ter_r20.07. Does anyone know where I may be able to down load the update for this and where I may be able to find instructions for installation?
Thank you all
Francis
