Well I managed to move it onto some small ramps JUST !

I checked the oil and even after the second drain and refill and the short drive it is still black as a witches tit !

Sunny today so the sump will come off and I will clean the filter, it still does not feel/sound nice. I know where my bet is placed...we shall see.

Only the best French Style Hammer for a Citroen Jim....so the shaft will most likely break the first time I use it, something inside will leak and put the fire out :)

And (because it has not moved for a while) the brakes will seize mid-smite, the hammer will stop dead, and the wielder will spin head over heels.

Fingers crossed it gives a very positive result Alasdair...

I drempt about it the other night and the filter in the dream was really mucky - like it was wearing a black fur coat... Hope that dream comes true ;)

Now that does not look prima-facie very healthy Alasdair...

Looks like something may be in the process of breaking up...

Are the deposits visible in the sump away from the swarf magnet metallic in nature or are they bits of friction material or non-ferrous metal?

How big is the 'hedgehog' on the swarf magnet? Normally swarf magnet 'hedgehogs' look clean and spiky. That one looks really mucky as if the swarf is contaminated with something...

The state of the filter will be interesting and hopefully more revealing...
