If as above - this probably won't be of much help, but:

5 Pin Black Connector: 8049 additional air con blower resistor

1: 8066 : control +CPT1
2: MC86B : earth mc86
3; 8067 : control +CPT2
4: MC86C : earth mc86
5: 8068 : control +CPT3

wire 8066 goes to Relay 3 protection switch unit A5
wire MC86B goes to (MC46 body earth point number 46)
wire 8067 goes to Relay 3 protection switch unit B5
wire MC86C goes to (MC46 body earth point number 46)
wire 8068 goes to Relay 3 protection switch unit C5

Also bear in mind your C4 is reported as not having air conditioning strangely enough!

8046 is for the blower motor resistor.
8050 is the blower motor (if separate)

8049 on that diagram looks to me like the right one, as it only connects to +12V and ground.

That's correct No air con fitted to the car, it's the poverty model

I'm wondering where I go next with this, how do I start to find the reason the heater doesn't seem to work as well as it should?

As the heating element is divided into 3 sections (3 resistances) could the problem be that maybe only one of them is being supplied with a power feed? .... I know the heater was working as it was heating up when I had it removed, but maybe only a part of it was heating.

The part BCP3 shown in the diagram, would this be a black box containing 3 green relays?.....maybe there is a problem with this that is stopping the heater working correctly?

Does anyone know what the criteria for the heating element being on is....what denotes it should be on and heating and at what temperature etc?

BCP3 is the 'Relay 3 protection switch unit'. It is difficult to say, given that your model is missing some components found on air conditioned models, and further with the mono or dual zone climate variations - which could affect operational mode. IIRC on your specs, it said 'automatic heating' for the module, so I can't say what it is that would trigger the operation of the heating resistance module.

Where's the fuse? How to test if the resistor of this heater is working?
In the picture, the heating cell is under the circled electric heater.

It is a two-zone air conditioner. Which engine adjusts the hot/cold flaps.

Is it normal that both pipes for the heating cell are burning when the fan is off? But when the fan is on, the supply pipe is hot and the return pipe is only slightly warm. Should both pipes always be hot when the engine is warm?
