If there is a 'lock' button on the dashboard somewhere try holding it down for a few seconds (with the engine running). It should lock the doors straight away, but then you may (after a few seconds) have a message pop up on the display (might be something like "auto locking enabled"). Now, when you go over 10MPH or so the doors will automatically lock. They will NOT automatically unlock, but will when the button is pressed or a door is opened (all doors will then unlock).

The gauge hasn't moved after a day of driving around 100 miles including collecting the car from Grantham
and driving home on the A1 to Kettering.
The guage never does move for a while when the tank is full, but once it hits 3/4 to half, it'll soon drop!![]()
can't wait to see what sports mode does I seem to have it on the Navi menu but don't know enough to set it yet.
will just have to wait for my manual to arrive.
You have Hydractive 3 suspension, not the Hydractive 3+ on this car Nigel, so no sports mode (easily identified by the lack of a 'SPORTS' button in the middle of the electronic suspension height control - you'll just have the up and down arrowed buttons, so no centre spheres, just the one on each corner.
With Hydractive 3+ Without Hydractive 3+ I did manage to turn off the instant on headlamps and wow they are really bright and the turning feature is really helpful to.
There is a normal headlight bulb as well as the directional xenon projector on this car. On my old Mark 2 that had this system, I upgraded the normal headlight bulb to an (approved) 'brilliance' bulb, of which the colour and brightness better complimented the discharge bulb. The standard Halogen was a bit too yellowy for my liking, but made a fantastic difference when I changed it. But a powerful combination and a feature that was removed on the X7. Maybe they redesigned the X7 xenons so they didn't need a secondary light - who knows.
I think I may have just mastered the temperature settings but cannot for the life of me understand why I keep being
shown the cars side profile on the screen.
As you have the small display screen it can only fit the side profile on - and usually this will show the suspension height when you adjust it (the wheels showing more or less as it is lowered and raised), but also for the TPMS - will usually indicate which wheels are under inflated or punctured as a side profile - but should come up with a message too.
It will all be in your book when you get it - but bear in mind there will be options shown in the manual that won't be fitted, as they don't make separate manuals for each trim level -they just bung everything in!

Hold lock button down for a few secs until automatic locking is enabled and all doors will auto lock when car goes over 6 mph. Same procedure to deactivate. A safety feature for example when stationary at traffic lights to prevent any car jackers from opening doors from the outside and legging it off with the Mrs's handbag or your Big MacHell Razor5543 wrote:If there is a 'lock' button on the dashboard somewhere try holding it down for a few seconds (with the engine running). The central locking will automatically unlock if you do an emergency stop. Oh, be careful if you decide to see how good the brakes are. The Emergency Brake Assist is a bit violent. I gave it a go once, at 40MPH. Once everything had settled down I got out to have a look. I could not find either any damage OR the brick wall I had apparently run into!

The EBA should counter reluctance to hit the brakes too hard for those not used to it by sensing the speed the pedal is hit and applying maximum force in case the driver doesn't - a good feature coupled with the EBD, ABS / ESP - a very good system IMO.

I 'exercised' my emergency brake assist at 100mph and was extremely impressed. The Land Rover who pulled out in front of me from a layby into lane 2, no lights or indicators was impressed too - ran off the road.

Steve is NOT a raving lunatic! Mad, maybe, for owning a Citroen (but then, so are we all), but not a lunatic.

Thanks Marc. Any idea why I get no side lights at the front of the car but they seem to.work at the back. I've checked for little sidelight bulbs at the front they just don't seem to be there. The sidelight setting in the car on the left stalk only. Lights the dials the radio panel and the rear sidelights. Am I missing something or doesn't the exclusive have front sidelights? Sorry to be a pain but this kind of important what with winter dark days. Cheers Nigel. PS maybe they did away with them in the facelift exclusive?

Yes the sidelights are there Nigel - they are not immediately obvious, as they are incorporated along the inner / upper of the boomerang lamp where the headlamp plastic tends to change colour and it takes an H6W.
In the picture below, the side light is almost like a strip arrowed. There is one bulb for this in each headlamp. If it is not illuminating the front then it's bulbs for sure.

LR Driver got all he deserved
The one very near-miss I've had in thousands of miles of cycling was courtesy of a bone-head in a Land Rover 'penis -extension' Vogue type thing.
That vehicle seems to attract them. Many seem to be driven with attitude - a bad attitude

There was a 'Lucinda Prior-Palmer' type sat in a brand new one in Aldi yesterday, right next to me, taking up the limit of the white parking bay. Needless to say, I stayed in my car and made it obvious that I was stating there - until she drove off - that's how I got a nice scuff mark along my front wing and some rather disgusting blue paint that was also donated from the other car the last time I was there!CitroJim wrote: Impressive...![]()

Strange that they should both go together. Thanks regards Nigel.
