As per your suggestion, here's a version without the top text and the bottom http://www... slightly enlarged to balance it out - logos have been balanced as well.

Thats exactly what I personally would choose to display.

For the front disc number two would have my vote - but should not the DS badge feature as well. Who knows, in the future DS may become as popular as the chevrons.
Somebody explain to me the difference between DS and any other citroen?

I favour a plain uncluttered disc with only the website address running around the bottom.

I could be persuaded to go with option 1 as it looks fairly uncluttered and has a plain font.

I don't subscribe to the wording 'Help, Advice,Debate' in any of the formats.

Basically since 2015 (and 2012 in China), the Citroen name or brand was dropped and DS became a seperate brand. Earlier models since 2009 were referred to as the Citroen DS 3, 4 & 5 etc. as they were a sub-brand of Citroen. Now there is no Citroen attachment - just DS Automobiles. They are keen to emphasise the luxury element of this brand and the separate 'engineering and manufacturing standards'. They have a separate website too:
http://www.dsautomobiles.co.uk/home

DS Automobiles are not to be confused with the obvious reference to the classic Citroen ID 19 or the DS of the 1950s.

Of the proposals so far I like Marc's #3 but would lie it a bit darker as per #2 (nitpick :( )
And Mr Sticky's right hand rectangular image

Steve - isn't that number 4 then on the swatch unless I've lost the plot - with the darker, but same text? Also. I've stuck to Arial (sans serif) for simplicity at this stage - any tweaks can be made easily enough :)

On #2 the colours seem richer and crisper and the whole thing a little more legible.
Could be my monitor of course.

FrenchCarForum.co.uk in a circle is not readable.

Half close your eyes and give it a passing glance (because that's what it will get).

Circle text is only good at 90 degrees......try reading it at an angle

I've just printed out a fairly random circular one at 7.5cm diameter (roughly tax disc sized) - I don't know who's it was, it might have been Albert's 7th version for all I know :-D It struck me that, whichever one we opt for, the text 'French Car Forum' really needs to stand out an awful lot to be readable at a glance.

I like the simplicity of this, but agree that the curved text doesn't really work.

How about trying the web address on three lines
www
frenchcarforum
co.uk

text centred, larger point size for middle line?
Some full-stops omitted for clarity and appearance

Or
www frenchcarforum co uk
on a single horizontal line (with the full stops, silly autocorrect keeps inserting http...)
but with text centre-ballooned (curved forwards) to emphasize the important word?

That curved text looks the dogs b*ll*x to me.

It makes sense to curve the text around on a curved tax disc as long as the text is visible when inserted into the holder.

IMO straight text would spoil the overall effect of the disc.

I would happily purchase 4 of these and maybe 4 of stickys rear window stickers as long as they're large enough and match the taxdisc in layout.

Why half close your eyes, my eyes are on the lookout fully open at all times and I can read that curved text without any issues at all

Surely the 'observation' will be done while the car is parked up?

You're not suggesting that anyone would be reading the disc at speed or at an angle that makes it illegible?

Its a bit like someone who has 'doctored' number plates with funny slogans along the bottom.

If i see one i mosey on up and take a good look. I see the tax disc as performing the very same function.

Anyone interested will take a look and make a note of the url, dont see that having any text other than url is necessary and will make any difference to a decision to take a look at the website offerring.

... surely it's the DISC that attracts the attention though so as long as it is colourful enough in a 'French' sort of way then the url will be obvious.

Otherwise we may as well just have the website address in tricolor on a plain background in a large font, that'll be easy enough for anyone to see :-D

that would be the colour, eg the Blue/White/Red colours that will grab the eye IF the mind of the person passing has a "connection", the word French then gets recognised (often not actually read) by a combination of the related colours and the shape of the word......

During "speed reading" for example, the brain assumes a lot of words before the eye even reads them and the eye skips. Change the normal shape and the brain does not. Speed reading is essentially all we can expect.

Squinting gives the ability to simulate somethings size/shape at distance, what it may look like at distance and colour strength etc.

However, I am getting way to deep.

At the minute I like the rectangle one on the right but with the writing at the top from the one on the left.

The round one I like the bottom right best. I would be unlikely to have one though as I hate anything in view on the windscreen.

I have mixed thoughts about the DS badge. Basically I'd like to see it there but it doesn't seem to fit.
