That's very nice of you to offer help. A shame I'm not closer. No reply yet from the auto locksmith. He's also run away with both the CPH unit and the engine ECU so even if I had a Lexia here I couldn't use it!

Well if I suddenly find another CPH & ECU from a Xantia S1 on the bay, we'll know where they've come from!

Update: No reply from the auto-locksmith to my queries so I'm assuming he's given up. He's still got the CPH and ECU though.
Possible good news with the breaker - it turns out it should be a HDI 90 as it has VIN number starting with RHY so I'm asking for the key, CPH unit and engine ECU to be removed and sent to me. Fingers crossed!

Update:-
I received the parts this morning. Key, Engine ECU and a Texton Unit of some kind. Not the one I wanted though! The one he has sent me has the serial no. 96277609.80. I've no idea what it is. Image can be found here:-

Anybody know what it is?
Meantime I have contacted the seller and told him that he has sent the wrong Texton part.

Success!
Received the Texton CPH this morning and got a new key cut. The locksmiths (Acme of Canterbury)removed the chip from the old key and inserted it into the new one. Fitted CPH and ECU and away she went!
At some point I will get it to someone with a Lexia to see if the problems the auto locksmiths were having were a fault with the car or with their equipment.
For now though I'm just so relieved to have it back on the road.
