its all getting done slowly and carefully. we need another de gas bottle as there may be a leak from this too .Any ideas where to get one from .Peter

They are quite hard to find now. There are no new ones in the UK. I got one last year from Poland.

You probably will have to get one made. It should not be too difficult to make out of brass or alloy, but the pipes need to enter at the correct angle to get the required swirl action.

This...I tried at the end of last year....even as far as Russia and Latvia....no joy.

J C Parts in France can get these de gassing tanks .23 euros , awaiting confirmation when they will send . Peter

If they won't deliver to the UK, you can have one (or several) sent to my address in France, and I will forward them.
I am however rather pessimistic about the chances of them actually existing.

JC parts got back to me tonight , guess what they cannot source anymore . They are the same as fitted to Peugeot 406, 605, Citroen CX apparently so internet hunting on my day off .Peter

The CX part is (I believe) still available in Europe but looks a bit different, and I have not heard of anyone actually using one on an ES9. There is also a Renault part used on some V6s that looks very similar, but I am not sure if it fits, or is still available.

This is the sort of item that should be possible to get a good reproduction made in China at reasonable cost.

The CX part or the Xantia/Pug ES9J part? .....IF the CX part are the OUTLET/INLET tubes at the same angle ?

Part Number is 1307 HJ which my brother in law says is correct . Check on their web page site if you want too. Peter
