I have 2010 c5 crt+ nav. I have bought led lights to change the DLR bulbs, I cannot seem to get to the DLR bulb. Does the whole light unit have to be removed to do this?
thanks

Re: DLR
There have been a few headaches with these. In the first instance I recommend you read these threads and come back if your question isn't answered satisfactorily.

Re: DLR
Cit procedure is to remove the bumper, then the bulb is accessible from underneath the headlamp unit. Only an hour book time; but that would be for a new car where all the bolts for the bumper will come out!!

Re: DLR
With the right tool and small hands, you can take the DRL bulbs out without any dismantling on the car:

The bulbs can be got to without removing the bumper, but it is likely that if they have never been removed and greased before, you will really struggle to get them out with the tool for the first time, as there just isn't the room. As I said in my post, I just paid the dealer to remove the old DRLs for me to break the seals and grease the socket for me. I then fitted the LED replacements later, once I had made the mods to the old bulb holder plastic lugs. Getting them in was a lot easier once they were greased. Using the cable tie to make a loop made getting them out a lot easier next time and prevents you dropping them. Plenty of info for you to digest and decide on which way you want to go.
