CBT has been good for me in the past...

Davie, maybe we can work out something to help there - say me drive your car half way back and then return home by train...

Let's have a think and see what we can come up with...

I might do that, cos I need a cheap flight from Aberdeen to Luton anyway for me. If we do that I can get a bus to Aberdeen, that saves you 2 hours.

I have been under the pain clinic in Aberdeen for 3 years now. They put an electrical gizmo into me about a year ago which worked well for a little while, but my body rejected it and it came out. I have a review in the summer and I may try the gizmo again. I am one of only 2% of patients for whom it did not work.

Just my 2 cents. For stress sufferers. Cut down on cars. More is less. More to tax, fix, worry about, order parts for etc etc.
Do enough to give you a result............then relax. The hyper nature of stress makes you seek things. Resist and just do enough to give you the reward of being tired and some sleep. That way you are not starting the flywheel in your brain that doesn't stop. Keep it simple. Think of it like chopping wood. No great thinking involved, but getting a result and giving you a sleep.
We have went from tilling the land 200 yrs ago to multi tasking and making hundreds of decisions in minutes with IT and business stuff. Not good and sympathy for those in that job.

And someone said the other day to me..keep the to do lists short ..I have a tendency to put as much as possible on them ..especially with 5 vehicles..
Long lists can cause motivational issues amongst other stuff I think..

That's why I now have a 12 reg 107, total reliability for my wee job. Because I don't drink or smoke and aren't married (the single biggest thing I did to relieve stress) I need something for fun, hence the activa. I don't need two cars for fun, so that's why the 205 is in a lock up. It needs work, nice easy non heavy work that I am quite capable of doing over the summer, which hopefully I will do then put it back on the road in the autumn. It's worth less to keep as a winter car than some folk have for winter tyres!

I've got four cars and a to-do list of zilch. Could explain why only one car runs as a hack. The other three can wait. Their time will come one way or another ..

It won't breakdown on the way home. I'm quite sure that Jim wouldn't let it out of his sight if he thought it wouldn't do 600 miles! I won't know how I will be for collecting it in person and driving long distance until I actually do it. That is one of my major problems. It is unpredictable how I will be from day to day, sometimes hour to hour. I have had to not go to work a few times since I did return to work, which I don't like doing, but I was honest up front about the possibility of that. It may well be that I shall take up the kind offer from Ben to drive it home for me.that can be decided nearer the time, much nearer in fact, as in once the job is done.

I'm a member of Green Flag so nothing concerns me when driving a Citroen. The only tools I take with me are a couple of cable ties, my leatherman and my wallet with my money in!

Does your green flag cover you in any car Ben? With relay to anywhere in the UK?

That's the cover I have with the AA. I'm £12 a month for that. I used to have mechanical breakdown repair insurance with them too, but that was for 1 named car and it had to have a full service history, at a vat registered garage, which no car of mine had so I cancelled it. How much is it with green flag?

I have a huge "To Do" list, don't stress about it and rarely cross anything off, just add to it :)
