I did that for the guide tube as it's ordered from a main dealer 70 miles from here and they had to post it to me so it was no difference for them. The clutch is ordered with express delivery to myself. I'm willing to bet the express delivery will be about next Tuesday.

I dont think it was you that was wrong Davie. I also input my reg no and it came back with that 2 part clutch kit for a 2.0 litre 16v'er so IT WAS WRONG. There was only ever an 8v 147bhp engine supplied to uk i believe.

Using the search facility itself returned the correct result (3 piiece) so dont know where they were getting their registration details from but it was'nt right!

I got it myself by ignoring the reg number and manually entering the car. I then phoned them, the woman confirmed the correct one. I tried to pay on the phone with my card and it refused my card twice. I said that's OK I will go online and pay myself. Two minutes later the phone went, it's my banks fraud department. They asked if I knew about two attempts to take money out of my bank by a foreign company in the last 1/4 hour, the bank had blocked them as they thought it was a fraud. So got that sorted and tried to get online to Mr auto myself and couldn't get on. Phoned them again, they said sorry computers down try later. Then my tablet went down. Then at last got it ordered. The most frustrating afternoon I have had for a long time. I am not good with electronic implements, aka computers etc, they are the work of the devil. Let me have a 4lb hammer (ok otterchops not for you!) And a cold chisel and a 12" stilson and an old Kelvin marine diesel and I'm in my element! But alas this afternoon had I had a 4lb hammer handy I think I wouldn't still have a tablet left to be typing this on just now!

That is reason I use Paypal. Might cost pennies more, but convenient.

I used paypal for the first order, it will be refunded as soon as they have the clutch back. I eventually used paypal again. So it's wait for it to arrive again, express delivery on Monday, or maybe Wednesday. Fxxk knows

It's nae the car that's stressing me really. There is other stuff too, and this afternoon was the straw that broke the camels back, so I had to have a few hours switched off.

Davie, I know exactly what you mean and what stressed you... I find exactly the same.. Life these days is so bloody difficult in so many ways now it drives the stress levels beyond what is reasonable... One of the biggest stress raisers is high-tech 'solutions' to problems that never existed involving ever more complex computer solutions.

I suffer terribly from this and try to avoid such stress-raisers at all costs. I need to for my well-being...

I hope this marks the end of the stress and all can now continue smoothly...

As long as the correct clutch arrives, and my refund for the wrong one happens then all will be well. I'm in a can't sleep night now, always happens after a bad day. I'm knackered but close the eyes and my brain goes into overdrive! I will give up if I'm still awake when shaun gets up at 1/4 to 6

Hell yes. I have learnt, thankfully, through 6 months of CBT (and pills!) to deal with my stress and anxiety a lot better to the point it rarely affects me at all. I'm now at the stage where I actually want to get up, and have a busy day, and achieve stuff again - like fixing Berlingo airbag wiring as I did today, then going to my son's event at school, cleaning the house, doing fish things and going to the tattooist. All in a day. that would have taken me a month and stressed me out unbelievably 6 months ago. I even sleep with no medication!

The high tech problem that Jim mentions is very real, and very frustrating. I deal with this on a daily basis at work, in a "why have they done THAT Why do I have to use xyz to do what I could have done with A last week?" sort of way, making my job more difficult, and at times bizarre. I've changed my approach since new year to one of "whatever!" - they're paying me well to do this stuff, I'm lucky to have a job so I come to work, do my job, and forget about it as soon as I walk out our office.

I tried CBT and didn't find it helpful. And I struggle to get a decent sleep. I've had umpteen councilling sessions with different councillors but still struggle. I say it's because of being in chronic pain which is never going to get better, not being able to do things I used to be able to do, and limited movement. This all plays on my mind, and I just can't shake the depression off. Not nearly as bad as I was when I was told there's no op that can make my back better, it's fxxked forever. In the 4 yrs since I have learned to live with it, but it's never far away. I have no idea how a 10 hour drive home from Jim's is going to affect me. I think there will have to be an overnight stop or 2 along the way, and I don't have my sister's in Carluke now for a free b&b!

You need to get your GP to refer you to the chronic pain team, that's what I did - he hadn't told me such a thing existed, but my counsellor did, and told me to badger my GP.

Once in a lifetime offer - get me a cheap flight from "somewhere" near yours, to Luton, and I'll drive it up for you to save your back..
