So are there any currently available vehicles in the UK that use the ES9 engine?

Nope.

The only v6 readily available in the UK that was V6 was the c5/6 with the 3.0 hdi which was joint psa/ford derived.

I do wonder if you special ordered you could get the v6 petrol as it would be a smaller and lighter engine compared to the hdi.

I may well be wrong but I'm sure in the last year or two the v6 hdi was dropped from the c5.

It's a shame they never offered the newer 2.2hdi with auto box as well in the c5.

They certainly have. I obtained a copy of the latest C5 brochure (haven't got it to hand of course!) and the only engines available at the moment are the 1.6 and 2.0 HDi engines
